Ears to Hear!

Matthew 13:3-9,43

Jeremiah 25:4 (KJV)4 And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.

Ezekiel 12:2 (KJV)2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

Matthew 13:9 (KJV)9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Jesus says this same thing no less than 8 times in the gospels.

I.                   We must not suppose that there are any who cannot hear, for hearing is the prerogative of the listener.

A.    Every man has been given the same opportunity to hear.  Luke 8:10

B.     Not every one will hear, because some choose not to.

C.     God is just who will judge those who do not hear. Acts 3:22-23

II.                We must conclude that we need repentance to properly hear the Word of God.

A.    In salvation, we are to hear His call.  Rom.10:17; Gal.3:2

B.     In our daily lives we are to hear his word as the means for our walk of faith.

The Word of God calls to you who are in need of direction.

The word of God calls to you who are in need of salvation.

The Word of God calls to you who’s life is a mess.

            Will you hear His call?
