Jesus is good enough

What is our status in this world? After all the strife and troubles we have down in the lower 48, and the future before us, what good can we rely on?
Jesus. Jesus is good enough.

Jesus as the “Radiant One”
Jesus inherits a name more “excellent than theirs [the angels]” after he was “for a little while was made lower than the angels” ..”and by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone”
He “for whom and by whom all things exist”
We hope for a ‘good’ life, a ‘good’ job, a ‘good’ home, a ‘good’ family, and maybe a ‘good’ ending.
So many things we hope to have that are ‘good’, yet we are not.
We keep putting our hopes in not-good things, and wonder why we are depressed.
Two egotists started a fight. It was an I for an I!
Jesus as:
• Inter-mediator
We have all become like one who is unclean,
and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment.
We all fade like a leaf,
and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
• Creator
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
• Radiance of the glory of God
what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?
Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under his feet,
all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,
Out of the north comes golden splendor;
God is clothed with awesome majesty.
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
• Suffering Saviour
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
And they sang a new song, saying,
“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
