5 Ways to see the truth in your life – Pt. 1 or 2
Dealing with the Spirit of Bondage

Introduction
· I see myself as a sponge. You could call me, Sponge Dan Black Pants.
· I’ve been soaking up information for the past 40 days. I’ve read 5 books, watched over 40 YouTube videos, and read numerous articles.
· I’ve been studying several interesting topics: (1) The end-times (2) The spirit of fear (3) The Catholic Church history and the Papacy (4) Giants and the Nephilim in Genesis before the flood (5) The UFO phenomenon (6) The Illuminati and other Secret societies (7) The World Economic Forum and their devious plan for Reset, (8) and, the current US government – A] are we under the insurrection act? B] Are military tribunals going on right now? C] have hundreds of people; including politicians, the deep state, billionaires, Hollywood actors, and other been arrest? D] is President Biden operating out of a false Oval Office and is not really our President? E] is the military running the country right now. Are many famous people being tried in Military Courts for their participation is the child sex trafficking ring here in America and abroad? And here’s the shocker, have people like Hillary Clinton and several others in High Office, been arrested, convicted of Treason, and already sentenced and much more.
· I have lots of questions. I want to understand what is going on.
· Around the last election season, I recall the prophesies. DO YOU REMEMBER? I recall them saying that God was about to expose the evil and that America was going to be ushered into a SOON MIGHTY REVIVAL – Another Great Awakening.
· I’m hungry for that. I want the truth to come out. I want the evil people exposed.
· YOU SEE, MY FRIENDS, I’m tired of the devil winning. Things are right, I can feel it, you can feel it. I want the truth about what is going on WITH THE CHURCH, WITH THE GOVERNMENT…WITH THE TRUTH ABOUT SO MUCH.
· Don’t you have questions that you want answered by God, by others?
· Can I seek God and the powers that be for ANSWERS?
· HERE AT HWC…the battle has begun. It’s a war actually. The fight of our lives. Whether you realize it or not, it’s a battle for the truth.

SEEKING AFTER THE TRUTH
· I wanted to share with you what the Bible tells us about truth seeking. Is it okay to do? Is it a waste of time?
· Sadly, there is no bible verse that clearly says, “Seek the truthand ye shall find.”
· However, there are verses that speak of seeking and finding.

Here are a few examples
· SEEK GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART
· Our first verse is a major Bible reference that teaches us to seek God. If we do, we will find Him.
· Jeremiah 29:13-14 declares, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you” (NASB).
· While the verse was written to the nation of Israel, the principle applies to everyone. In this passage God promises that if you seek Him with all your heart, He will let you find Him. That is, the person must be very sincere!
· Another passage that echoes this same principle was also given to the nation of Israel.
· In Deuteronomy 4:29 it says, “But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul” (NASB).
· This promise will not be realized by anyone who casually seeks God. They must seek God aggressively and completely. Nothing else can be more important; for it is then they will find Him.
· WE ARE URGED TO SEEK WISDOM
· In Proverbs 8:17 divine wisdom cries out to us urging us to seek it. Wisdom speaks figuratively as a person.
· Proverbs 8:17 says, “I love those who love me; and those who diligently seek me will find me” (NASB).
· It is clear from this verse that wisdom is speaking as if it were a person. We are to understand that if we seriously seek wisdom, we will find wisdom. Wisdom is not truth but insight and determining the best action based on knowledge of truth. There are many people who have done exceedingly well in school and earned high GPAs, but they are not very wise. In this verse divine wisdom states that we want to be wise we must earnestly seek it. In the process of seeking divine wisdom, we will find God.
· And James 1:5 states, “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to everyone generously without a rebuke, and it will be given to him.”
· It is also important to understand, CHRISTIANS ARE PROMISED TRUTH
· Once a person becomes a Christian, the journey to discovering more spiritual truth continues, but it requires that the individual continuously abides in the study of Scripture.
· So, Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free” (NASB) John 8:31-32.
· The word for abide has the idea of remaining, staying or lingering. If we are seeking truth, we will need to abide and meditate on His word. The truth does make us free – free from sin in Jesus Christ – free from darkness – freedom in light or truth.
· We can conclude three very important things:
1. God teaches us that we can find Him if we seek Him sincerely and deeply.
2. The facts of the universe and life will become obvious and if we seek wisdom in the pages of the Bible, we will know truth and our God more deeply.
3. Truth is found as we seek God in the pages of Scripture.

T. Jesus Christ is the TRUTH
· John 14:6 – “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 7“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
· It’s a simple equation: Jesus is the truth (John 14:6), The Word is Jesus (John 1:1,14; Rev. 19), Therefore, the Word is truth (John 17:17).
· I know this is going to look ridiculous, but we must look at everything through the lens of Jesus…through the lens of scripture (Jay stand up and put these on).
· Here are some ways:
o FIRST - The age of the earth. If a child was handed a bible, would he/she ever come up with billions of years? NO. But pastor Danny isn’t the earth billions of years old (Scientist tell us that). After all it takes 8 minutes for the light of the sun to hit earth. There are stars that are millions of light years away. How could this be? How did God create the earth? How did he create life on the earth? Did everything begin as babies, or the plants as seedlings. Was Adam created as an infant? Or was he created mature…as a grown man? Yes, it’s clear, God’s initial creation was of maturity…we don’t have to invent our answers. Let the Bible do that.
o SECOND - Do UFO and alien lifeforms exist? The question of live in the Universe has been on our creative human minds forever. What does the bible say…or NOT say? If they are not in scripture, they don’t exist. Does the bible speak about people, or aliens coming from other planets? NO. There is nothing there. Here are a few creative ways others have tried to say are UFOs in the Bible.
o Elijah’s translation to heaven – 2 Kings 2:11 says, “Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” If this is UFO activity, then God uses Unidentified Flying Objects to bring the man of God to heaven. Clearly, this isn’t a UFO sighting.
o In Ezekiel 1, which is the calling of this great prophet. He has a heavenly vision. He sees some strange sights. But are these wheels and lights…UFO’s. RATHER, as Ezekiel continued looking at the brilliant light, he saw four living beings emerge from the center of the cloud. Later these living beings are identified as cherubim, apparently high-ranking angels that serve God in heaven (Chapter 10:15, 20).
o I could go on. But what is important is to ask. Is God trying to fool us? Here’s what many know, the whole concept of aliens must come from somewhere. I mean, you can’t argue for long with all the strange sightings. Or are they demonic in nature?

R. All Things – All Truth will be REVEALED
· Luke 8:17 – “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. 17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.”
· Think about it! Since all things will be revealed. Deal with it now, so you don’t have too later.
· The devil wants you to keep things hidden…that’s his evil plan.
· But, the Lord says, “Don’t wait…reveal them now.”
· Secrets destroy quotes
o Secrets are hard to keep – Benjamin Franklin said, “Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead.”
o “A secret, slow to be revealed, is like ingesting poison. Soon it will drain your passion, forcefully expose your sin, and destroy your soul” – DLF
o “Nothing makes us so lonely as our secrets” – Paul Tounier

· Here are three fundamental principles of life: (heed my words).
o First, A lamp (life) exists for the purpose of giving light (a) It is not covered, not hid. (b) It is made conspicuous
o Second, Secrecy is impossible…all things will be found out, uncovered.
o Third, Truth is very narrow (a) a person must watch how he hears. (b) The reason: truth will be rewarded, but the seemingly true will be stripped away. Some things have truth but are not THE TRUTH.

· THEREFORE, expose the demons, darkness in your life. Do it today, don’t think for one moment that you will get away with wrongdoing…sin…it will all be exposed to the light.

Conclusion
· I NEED TO STOP HERE FOR I’LL BE PREACHING UNTIL 2 PM
· IT’S TIME FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE – It’s time to let the truth of God invade our minds, bodies…we’re demons’ dwell.
· DEMONIC ATTACKS - Demons are identified in Scripture as fallen angels who joined Satan in his rebellion. They follow Satan, doing evil and wreaking havoc. They have limited power and like Satan are already defeated.
· Colossians 2:15 is our focus. Jesus disarmed demons’; we’re going to do the same. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
· AS YOUR PASTOR, I DECLARE LUKE 4:18 TODAY: It says, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
· It was Christ who fulfilled that passage, but we are sent to represent Him.
· NOW, I want to lead you through deliverance from the spirit of bondage:

THE SPIRIT OF BONDAGE (Adapted from Trying the Spirits by
§ Romans 8:15 identifies the Spirit of Bondage: “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”
§ These are the manifestations of the spirit of bondage:
1. Anguish of spirit (Exodus 6:9) “So Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; but they did not heed Moses, because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage.” Keeps you from paying attention to God because you’ve been put in bondage or treated very cruelly. These kind of bondage keeps people from following their godly leadership.
2. Have a root of Bitterness (Exodus 1:14) “So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with rigor. 14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage.” (Heb. 12:15) speaks of a root of bitterness…and eventually no place of repentance can be found. Acts 8:22-23 says, “Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. 23 For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.” This spirit comes when someone has done something horrible to you and as a result, a bitter spirit has attached itself to you. All bitterness destroys us and ends in bondage to Satan.
3. Caught in Satanic captivity: (2 Timothy 2:26) “That they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.” These are those captured, caught by Satan, imprisoned, has been in slavery…made to do the will of the Devil and bondage.
4. Spiritual Blindness: (John 3:19-21) “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” (Matt. 4:16) speaks about those who sit in the darkness. Those with spiritual darkness or who are outside of Christ are people who continue to walk in darkness, while sitting in the light of Christ. Satan would have your mind blinded. 2 Cor. 4:4 declares, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” All spiritual blindness leads to the waiting arms of bondage.
5. A Wounded, Bruised, or Crushed Spirit (Ps. 34:18) “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Prov. 18:14) “A man’s spirit sustains him in sickness, but a crushed spirit who can bear?” A bruised, crushed, and wounded spirit is very difficult to free ourselves of. Many have tried but breaking free, the spirit must be told to leaven in Jesus’ name. A wounded spirit comes as a result of a re-action to negative words, events, actions, or a violation of your person or rights – a re-action that crushes you, knocks you down and from which you cannot seem to rise. Other ways include: rejection from leaders, unforgiveness, sexual immorality, sin, betrayal, false accusations, divorce, loss of loved ones before their time. It crushes an area of your life – your spirit – which is quite devastating in how it affects us. This sadly, leads someone into the arms of bondage.
6. Brokenness: (Luke 4:18) Jesus and now us today, have been, “Sent to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captive.” There is an evil spirit that uses our broken hearts, minds, souls, and body’s against us, keeping us down, depressed, and unable to be what God has called us to be. We feel heart broken when we lose someone or something we loved or wanted very much, like a romantic relationship or a friendship. Our hearts break when a family member, a pet, or a job or opportunity that was very important to us ends. Heartbreak can cause a large amount of stress, especially if the loss is a sudden one.
7. Oppression (Acts 10:38) is about Jesus going around and healing all those who were oppressed…those subjected to harsh treatment, sickness. In modern times this could include malicious or unjust treatment or exercise of power, often under the guise of governmental authority. In Luke 4:18, Jesus came, “To set at liberty those who are oppressed…downtrodden). This leads to the strongman of bondage.
8. The Spirit of Addiction: Those who have habitually giving themselves up to a negative practice, such as smoking, drinking, or doing drugs…clearly leading someone to the spirit of bondage.
9. Greediness/Materialism: (Psalm 52:7) “Here is the man who did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.” This is the excessive desire for more of something. This evil is the insatiable desire to gain and hoard wealth. It’s encompassing such things as selfishness, entitlement, materialism, consumerism, and hoarding…leading one to bondgage.
10. Evil Ambition: (Phil. 2:3) “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” An evil or selfish ambition has a driven desire to attain honor, superiority, and power for themselves…leading to bondage.
11. The Spirit of Lust: (1 John 2:16) “For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.” Those who struggle with the spirit of lust are already in bondage to the world and to the flesh. This is the insatiable, sensuous, and sexual desire which involves; the following, adultery; greed; incest; lasciviousness; sensuality; sodomy, and fornication. This spirit has destroyed many a man…women too.
12. A Slave to sin: (Prov. 5:22-23) “His own iniquities entrap the wicked man, and he is caught in the cords of his sin. 23He shall die for lack of instruction, and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.” Those who are controlled by principal spirits and sin have the irresistible urge to behave in a certain way which leads to bondage and being constrained by ropes of sin that bind one to it and because they struggle to listen to biblical teaching and instruction, fall away from Christ and go astray. For Jesus instructs us in John 8:34-36, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
13. Servant of the Devil: (Rom. 6:16) “Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey” This is those who are carrying out the wishes of and obeying a spirit, or have done so in the past. This is the very thing; bondage.
14. Bound: (Acts 8:23) “For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.” Here Peter identifies a person bound by evil and is unable to break free. Are you bound by a spirit and cannot break free no matter how much you try too!
15. Captivity: An evil spirit that wages war to make your mind a prisoner of the law of sin. This is someone under the power or dominion of something or someone. Similar to the demoniac in Luke 8 who was captive to the demons.
16. Mastered: (2 Pet. 2:19) This verse speaks of those subdued by or made to be the servant of corruption and false teachings. These people are bound and slaves to whatever is mastering them.

It’s time to Attack the Enemy

§ All these things (these spirits…these manifestations) will only produce death and worthlessness and will pull you deeper into bondage. WE…YOU MUST BREAK THESE SPIRITS OFF OF YOU.
§ YOU MUST TELL THEM TO GO…TO BE GONE FROM YOUR LIFE.
§ Satan and his kingdom of demons; he is the one who put you in bondage to fear Him.
§ That is why many of God’s people are in bondage and chained up spiritually, and those chains need to be broken off today.
§ Just as the Pharaoh of ancient Egypt was an absolute ruler who enslaved the Israelites and kept them in bondage through fear, we, too, can be enslaved by a “pharaoh” in the form of a person, like what happened to me.
§ Being in the spirit of bondage means you have lost your true identity, which is in Christ.
§ For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
§ Your birthright as a believer is to live a life of freedom and never be in bondage again.
§ LET’S PRAY – Here’s the way the Lord said to proceed…
§ Next week SPIRITUAL WARFARE continues: We are going after the SPIRIT OF FEAR. Get prepared.
