Are you Persecuted for being a Christian in the USA

Let’s get right to the answer — not really and somewhat.
This is kinda a hot-button topic for me as I hear so many Christians talk about how much ridicule they face or how so many people look down on them or think they are naive or stupid or weak. I keep my mouth shut, but I really want to say grow up and deal with it. I also want to say, unfortunately for you (or because of you) Christians too often have been the ones doing the judging and criticizing harshly making non-Christians want to take any follower of Christ.
Here is why I say “yes.”
Many people are ridiculed for being a Christian, especially the greater your faith and obedience. The closer to God you are, the more ridicule you will face. You take it seriously and it’s not just something you superficially say you, but who you are from the inside out.
Here is why I say “no.”
People are often cruel and make fun of anyone and everyone they can. But often, people also are lazy. They will pick the lowest-hanging fruit, the most obvious. If you’re a Christian, it’s really easy to pick on that. If you have an obvious difference, race, nationality, religion, gender, accent, height, weight, LGBTQ+, intellect or lack thereof, clothing choice (especially if what you wear is nicer than the average), Republican, Democrat, right, left, and so on, that’s what will be ridiculed.
The point is, if you were not a Christian, you would still be ridiculed, just for something else.
The question is why.
It is a very tough question.
