Story of when God designs the program.
This was such a important message because it was about if we understood the programmer then we can understand how his program is suppose to work. In our minds the common misunderstanding is we are the program and the programmer has to work with us. Or work within our box. For example when we claim something or decree and declare it then God is obligated to make that happen. IF we name it claim it then God will have to honor it. If we speak anything into existence then the Will of God will then follow our will power. Not only does it not work that way the program has never been designed to operate that way. When Tiff and I were young we had…we earned bad credit and we were in debt. In 2008 we were living pay check behind pay check. January of 2009 I made a goal that we would go out the year with at least 500 in the bank and that all of the bills would paid for. An can I tell you that is exactly what happened. But nothing would have changed if I did not set the steps and follow them to accomplish that goal. As with everything else it took some grace. But I believe that happened because we were operating within the will of God not over powering the will of God. I cannot make it my job to make the word of God make sense to me I have to make sense of the Word. What I mean is I cannot try to put God in a box so that I can understand Him. I have to learn the Word so that I can operated the way He desires me to operate. We have to stop trying to make the bible form into a cookie cutter religion. I like this section for my life during Christmas time. I love this for my current situation. But I do not want to apply this part for to my life because the world rejects it now. Or I do not understand this so I will ignore it. Gods Word in its entirety was given to us so that we may understand the program and be aware of how to operate within it.
Over the next several months if not years I will be working on a series of sermons understanding praying, Understanding Gods healing,, Understanding the will of God. This will all go under the series of Understanding Gods program.
Understanding Gods program
Thank yous and acknowledgements.
This is introductory sermon to the series. So it will only be about 10 minutes with 3 quick points in then we will close out.
The 3 points that I will be going over are very elementary. And most of you already now it but it is an important foundation to where we are heading.
Understanding it all starts with God.
Understanding it all starts with God.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The reason this is so important is because it puts our perspectives in order. Tell the story of how to you can to this sermon about how you had to relearn the scriptures.
Talk about how the scripture that you miss represented in prayer and encouragnment. Jermiah
It does not matter if we can quote scriptures, it does not matter if we can sing scriptures, it does not matter if we can memorize the entire bible. I f I do all of that but I do not try to understand what was the Programmers meaning for that scripture was, then we are just rocking a loading a gun with blank bullets. It looks strong but when it is time to use it there will be no protection.
Part of the way we do this is by understanding that it all starts with God. It all starts with God is because God started it all. We are here for His will. We are here to excute His plan. We are here to accomplish His Will. We have to stop being the type of people that ask God to constantly bless what I am doing. Instead we need to ask Him to help me do whatever He is blessing.
Understanding The Word Was God from the beginning
Understanding The Word Was God from the beginning
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
After we understand that everything starts with God. We have to also understand that Christ was also there from the beginning. Christ has been compared to Adam because they were both created in impossible ways. Some has said that the only difference was that Jesus made a better choice. There choices was not the only thing that made them different. It is true that Adam was not create in sin. But he is more like us because He chose sin over God.
Can I tell this is our nature. We chose sin over God. We chose our career over God. But more then anything we chose our desires over God. This is what we fight not to do everyday. It is a great struggle not to pick sin over God. We know the benefits of choosing God. We also know that kind of appreciation that God shows to us when we pick Him. But because of our sin sick nature we have a natural instinct to sin. Our addiction to sinning is the same as any other addiction. I've heard from people who are addicted to drugs that you never beat it. They may stop using but the urge never stops. They just gain the strength to quiet the noise. That is our battle with sin. If you are like me there were times that I found creative ways to sin and try to explain as if it was not that bad of as normal sin. But the truth is there is no hiding the fact that sin is the addiction we will be fighting until the end.
Christ was with God at the beginning. People have thought that Jesus was not there until they read
God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.
So it is believed that at this moment God was talking to the trinity. He was there. So, why is it important to understand that. Because we need to understand what was at stake when Jesus came down here. Not only was He leaving his thrown God was allowing His son to die for his must unworthy people.
Understanding His son was sent here for us
Understanding His son was sent here for us
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Finally it is important to always understand why God sent his only son here. He sent Him here for us. It is very important to put your name in scriptures. God so loved Oscar......Jesus committed through the end for us. Jesus sacrificed himself for you. He knew that we would be sinners. He knew that we would forever struggle with sin yet He still sent His Son for us. He allowed His son to die for us. Does your life reflect that sacrifice? Does it constantly show appreciation? We as parents always say we like for our kids to appreciate some of the things that we sacrificed for them. What are you showing? Are you living the in a way that shows how much you love the Lord? It is not enough to go to prayer when you have a need, It is not enough to feed homeless on a holiday, It is not enough to go to church on every Sunday or to pay your tithes. It is a simple question are you living your life as a living sacrifice. Are you dedicating your everything to Him first and your job second? Him first and your ambitions 2nd. Or are you just telling God to get in line?
