Coming Out (restored 10/10/2021)

Somehow I knew that something good was coming up. Are at our church mean another brother. Before service, we go downstairs and we pray for the service and I had a touch of the Holy Spirit come down on me last Sunday and it wasn't 10-15 minutes later and my brother lost texted me. Hey, can you come and preach for? So I knew something good was going to happen. When the Holy Spirit touches me. Praise God. I was so blessed to hear that you guys voted to keep this church up. Open, 100% vote. That's staying at saying something good. This church has been through a lot and God has blessed this church and kept the doors open. And I want to sit with the Janice and I are here to help any way we can. We got, we got a lot of things going on our plate, but if there's something we can do to help you, we sure will come and help you.

Keep fighting. You got find a good fight of Faith. You got to be strong. They strong to each other. Get together have Fellowship. I glad that you have prayer to Monday night. So I encourage you to go out and have dinner together game night together. It's a builds relationship makes you strong. There's something coming up, October 15th at Blue Springs. Assembly of God, is for our seniors and it's 50 and plus, it's a Ministry, Amazing Grace concert. And I encourage you all leave this flyer with you is free. They will have snacks afterwards. I encourage you to settle van outside and gather groups and head to Blue Springs. Assembly Friday night.

But one thing that Danny didn't factor in when he invited me to come to this. It is I get to tell Danny story. Yeah. Many years ago Janice why we had a lake house down at the Ozarks. It wasn't nothing fancy. It was a place to have great trying to race the three boys and and bring people down. I'll have great fellowship and great food and and a great time, you know, will Danny come down one weekend with us and We went out on Saturday night to go check the trout line. So I decided let him run the boat. I just got I got an old 16 foot flat bottom boat with a 25 horse motor on it. And I'll show you how to run the motor. Got to started reverse forward and the whole thing is old. Tiller motor sit back there, run it. Well off we go, we go out with check the tryout lines. Danny's having a good time, giggly and everything and we're coming back. It's getting dark. In-N-Out how they win the in the evening. The wind tends to lay down. So that water is just glass smooth. You know, Danny's got the boat wide-open. We're ripping across that water and the Goldilocks hair is the wind blowing in his hair and he's giggling, just having a great time, you know, him. Here comes the dock. I can see the dock over there. And we're fixing to pass that. We need to make a right turn and I get his attention. I don't know what I'm going to back up a little bit and Captain stubing remember love bug. The captain stubing's back are having a great time around. That motor were flying across the water and we got to make a right turn. So I get his attention. We make that right turn. He's a he just having a great time. I think that seems theme song is going through his head, you know, Love Boat, you know. And we're still wide open throttle wear flats heading right towards that Dock and I'm looking at him. I can hear him. He's probably singing Love Boat. You know, I look at the dock is getting closer. I look back and make another run in on this boat. Don't have brakes. Install a crank down the throttle. We slowing down and I'm hard. Put reverse. We're getting to her. Coming out to fast. Travel. Trying to get slow down. We didn't have a wreck or anything, but we got her slow down and that's what gets good side of it. And you know how events happened, you know, I can be at 3 second for second event. But in your mind, it's a slows down, you know. Well, if you ever been about when you step out about, you got to commit, you stuff that one foot out, and I suck a puss. Got to come with it. Will Danny step out to the side of the boat? And he didn't commit. And is that one foot on the dock, one foot in the boat and they're still slack in the Rope? So his little short legs are spread in the park. And I'm thinking that's going to be good. With one of three things is going to happen. He's either going to have to follow on. The dock is going to fall in the boat, or he's going to fall in the water. Somehow he managed to save it and he fell on the dock he got on the dock. I don't have it how I did it but it did. I was a little disappointed that he didn't get wet. You know, it's all right.

It's good time. Danny's been a good brother-in-law to me. We've worked a lot of churches together. He's always in the sound fixing up, speakers and putting things together, and computers, and all that. He's been faithful and I appreciate him. Yes, what! What spray father we love you. We thank you, Lord, for this day. We thank you, Lord, for this is the day, the Lord has made and we will rejoice in it. We thank you. Holy spirit that you are here that you're going to minister to us. We will be challenged when we leave these doors Lord and will be able to go on Beyond these walls father and Reach Out And Touch hearts and lies. Lord. I ask you just bless this church meet at every meal or pour out your spirit. Holy Ghost. We went to move from you. Holy Ghost. He wants you to come in and show up and show off to the what you do best Lord. We thank you. Lord. I ask you to pour out your spirit Lord blessing and move my mightily Lord. We thank you in Jesus name. Amen. Revival weenies. Holy Ghost soul-stirring Revival. I've had several friends and and they've just come out and say we need Revival. I told our prayer teams on Wednesday night. We have prayer on Wednesday night, and I said I've heard it twice in two different meetings. We need Revival. If I hear the third time. I know something's going to happen with the next Saturday. We went to a fundraiser and the pastor got up said, we need Revival and I'm hearing a everywhere. Now. We need Revival. God's got a move in. Move mightily a man. I believe what is going on right now in this world and this condition were in is not made up a man. I believe it's a jezebel, demonic spirit. And if you're not familiar with a Jezebel spirit, its manipulation domination and intimidation, and we see it in our news. We see it in our social media, in our, even our leadership of pushing things that are listening to us.

Some time ago when we had the major shutdown last year. I was frustrated. I was not happy about things and so I got on Facebook and post in my opinion. I had this lady want to go to fist fights with me with words, you know, it. She was like, No, and I learn quickly for spot deleted that. I didn't want to ask light into a big war of worst, but I learned quickly that if I'm going to win souls, I have to be a soul winner, be a peacemaker and I don't post my opinions anymore. If my pain is a, if it's anything I post is about the word of the Lord is. God. It's about how God's moving.

But I want to be a peacemaker. I don't know if I'll ever ever be able to win this lady. Back for the Lord. She don't know the Lord. But maybe on Wednesdays. Got to give me that opportunity to do that. When somebody when this lady to the lure. We have to be careful. It is time for Christians to rise up again. We've been asleep too long. I believe what we're going through now is because Christians have gone underground. They've hid behind their walls. They've hidden their recliners and, and not getting on the leaves turning on TVs rather than getting on their knees. Praying you remember back in the old day, to remember an Old Testament that Israel when they were following God, they were up on the mountain, God was blessing. The every need was met and when they walked away from God, what happened, they ended up in the valley and their enemy took over. He-Man.

We need to keep praying. We need to keep praying for our nation. Keep praying for your our churches. Our nation needs to repent and turn back to God. I believe that this 3.5 trillion dollar package. Have been stalled because two Democratic senators. Changed. I believe that was the hand of God. Believe that was men and women, pray for our nation and God intervene and stop this package or stalled it. I hope that God just stops it in his tracks. It doesn't go anywhere.

It's time for Christians is time for Christian men and women of God to be seen. We need to get out there. People are dying. We need to bring the hope to them. We need to bring a peace to them. We need to bring Comfort to them. I was never I was never an outgoing person. I was always a quiet person that shy person especially in school. My wife when we were first married. She was the outgoing person but now that's the roles of kind of Switched. I'm more the outfit going person and she is and I have no problem getting out there and witnessing. A retired ironworker. I've been in construction for 34 years. I've been all over Kansas City and a few other states. But I'm not going to break up on myself, but I'm going to just buy on God it I live my life before these men. I worked with, I can give you some phone numbers out of my phone. You can call up some guys and you can ask him about me. I try to live the man of integrity. I did my best to show the gospel to a lost and dying world.

After I retired, I began to ask myself. Did I do enough? Did I have an impact on these men that I work with that? I literally did. That went up to the Lord today? Say something mean to cause them to hunger and thirst for the Lord. And there's other questions I asked, you know, again did I do enough? How come I I couldn't do more. Did I lack confidence? and I'm sure I did as many times as I've Know that the holy spirit of God say that to somebody and I didn't and I felt so bad about it. I had to repent. I asked the Lord and I'll bring somebody else into their lives because I failed. I fail, I'll let you down lord, and I'm going to keep trying till I get it, right. Then I've asked myself, you know, where was my examples? Other than walk with the Lord for 36 years. And I have never had anybody come to me and said, do you know the Lord as your personal savior? Maybe one time that was a Jehovah Witness and knock on my door. Well, now I really haven't had anybody come and ask me. We need to get out and be seen. We need to be let our light shine in this dark and terrible world. I have one example back in 2002-2003, Bill, wigs from Living Waters. We didn't go out knocking doors and things, but we went to prison prison ministry. So we did a outreaches in the halfway house in downtown and we definitely won Souls will let people and we seen people be baptized and feel the Holy Spirit great time. Ministry, time in prisons. We would go on the women's side. There was a young lady. She was yellow. Had to liver disease and we prayed for her and we never saw her again. Cuz in this prison, they move them. I want another till I get to the permanent place, they're going to serve out their sentence. A year later, we got a letter sent to the church. And this lady says, God perfectly healed me and I'm teaching Christian teaching people in in about the violin, got to word in the prison. A blessed is so much. I've seen miracles happen. We did that his mother meant side and we going to do laundry room and I had this tub full of water and we pray for him and and baptize them. And this one guy passed away. So I can, we can we pray with you back. Pray with me. I'm sick. We prayed with him. Baptizing went on two weeks later. We found out that he had full-blown AIDS and God perfectly healed him and his documented by the doctor's. He was made whole May complete Lord. Thank you, Lord. God is moving the back to Where was that? I went off on a rabbit Trail. Anyway, 34 years on and working. I tried to live my life that they would see if there's one time when the guys is like Chris. Can you say a cuss word know? No, I'm not saying that. All right. Here comes you ready? All shucks. That's it. That's the best yet buddy. You also only went but they knew me, they knew me. I we did a job up in Chillicothe women's prison. There are several contractors out there until there were several groups of iron workers out there and I met a guy. I've never worked with. And he says all your that religious one that open my my eyes that I had a reputation and it was a good reputation. It wasn't about the nasty stuff that these people do. And I'm so when you live our lives of Integrity wherever we go, and I'll work place in our neighborhood. Everything Mark chapter 16 verse 15. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. I know this commandment and like I said before, I know I failed him, but I'm going to keep trying and I encourage you to keep trying. Look for that opportunity to witness. We want to grow this church. We got 60 seats here. We can fill them up and we got to do it. I reaching out there. There's something about being seen. For long time at Belton assembly. We had taught taught a Wednesday night class. And somehow we got on the subject of being seen. And this young lady spoke she goes. I watch Chris and Janice. I'll watch him in the church. How they react, how they respond. I'll watch him. I look for him in the grocery store. If I see him. I watching them. I wash them after church. What they do, have a response and that was an eye-opener for both of us that we're being constantly. Watched. Weather in as a Christian. We're always being watched and it's a good thing. There's nothing wrong with being seen. Jesus stood, out of my man. He brought the word he brought healing. He brought Deliverance. Any bright unconditional love.

But what did I get him? Ugliness hatred. And Death on the cross, which God knew this was going to happen. So, He did it for us. His love is unconditional love. It's amazing. No, I don't want to create fear in anybody. It's a wonderful thing to go out Beyond the Doors. I want to challenge you to reach out touch hearts and lives. There is many out there.

2nd Timothy chapter 1 verse 7 says, go there for God, has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. We don't have a spirit of fear, but people Christians tend to pick it up and take it with us. And that's why he enters our walking. What's Sanders our ability to reach out to touch hearts and lives. But it says in here of but of power power, Holy Spirit power that's within us and of love the love of Christ which we need to share. And of a sound mind, where's the sound line? Come from the word of God? Loving on him praying? A man. There is a feel ready for Harvest and we must step out Beyond these walls. Keep going. Keep trying.

Ephesians chapter 4 verse 1. I love this, chapter and verse. It's my favorite is one of my favorites. I therefore a prisoner of the Lord beseech you to walk worthy of the calling from with with which you were called.

Besiege besiege means of the command. It's not asking you, it's not pleading with you. It's telling you walk this life. We never know who we're going to touch or never know who were going to invest in. It's all the time. We must be seen.

Now, I am a billboard for Christ.

4 years ago, I was teaching a men's bible study small group at the time. Our church was a small building. We're in a bigger one now. But the four years ago is meeting at Hy-Vee. At least Summit Road and 23rd Street in there. A little restaurant area, which was a good thing. Cuz as we're teaching, there was men that was set at other tables then we move over clothes or were? They can hear us teach the word of God and there was one time that we actually invited a man over cuz he was just here with. You could tell he was wanting to get in there. So he was a great thing. But when I got done with the study, I had rode my motorcycle up there. That one night here I come out and got my Bible a notebook and a hand. I'm headed to my motorcycle here,, this older couple Jim and Sharon Holmes, and a high. How you doing? You know, I'm start business. Where was CMA. Have you ever heard of not know? What is it? Christian motorcycle association? And they said, come ride with us. We've got a big fundraiser, Run for the sun coming up. We're going to meet at this gas station. We're going to ride down to Sugarfoot BBQ down Osceola, and it's going to be a great time. Like sure, you know, I'm down with the right with a group of motorcyclists and having a great time and I decided I got home and told my wife about it. And that next weekend. We went for a nice ride with him. Got to meet him Fellowship. Had a great time. As I learned about it, then curse me, chapter meetings and stuff and pretty soon. I'm joined. I've got a patch on my back. I'm a billboard now. For Christ. But as we joined, we learned, I had to learn about how would see him. It was about CMA doesn't have a church home. They have a headquarters down Arkansas, but CMA is all over the world. Different denominations coming together working together for one 1 cause and that's the window Lord. Or when Lord, when people for the Lord. Now we minister to lots of the bicycles motorcyclist, but we also administers the others were there. For funerals were there for shaking Veteran's hands, were there for everything?

2 years into this. They made me chaplain for a year. Now I am chapter president of chapter 49 swordburst for crossing Independence, and it's honor its privilege and guys doing great things. But we do a lot of outreaches. We go beyond out and minister to accept motorcyclist the spring we went to Front Street and Agnes or a big motorcycle ride down there. All the bikes up and down the street down the next street, young people everywhere and what we do we got lots of ministry tools. And one more thing to do is called blessings. I like when I first heard this is like fiker blessings. What is that? And how can that be scripturally? Sound praying for a motorcycle, you know, but it's a tool. It's got the date on it. So each year of these bikers could come back and get their bikes blessed again, but it's a way to open up the door to. We can talk to them minister to them and show them. Love Of Christ, will ask him. Can we pray for your bike? And is there anything else we can pray with you? About a job, family, member and everything else? You know somebody that someone will do that and will pray for him and then we got to leave it to God. To answer the prayer with Mary never ever see these people before. But when we got to this biker rally, I left my wife with the other CMA hours and I start walking around. I had twelve of these stickers and I pray for 12 bikers. I ran out stickers and so I had to go get some more. I had a Praying a Praying for 27 guys that day. I had guys coming to me so hate my brother.

And I just, they don't know what they're calling the Lord, into their Lies by planting seeds, through prayer through biker blessings. And then we'd give them coins. Nando's coin has a phone number if the biker was anywhere United States breaks down. They can call that number and a CMA member come out and See to their needs rescuing, you know, and it's like an insurance policy policy for him. And they just absolutely love that. Appreciate it. I had a good time at that rally. Now. There's another rally that we go to is called blip Roasters. It's a coffee shop, down the West Bottoms. And I've been there four times my fourth time as yesterday. Second time with his, there's a guy named Sam and we got to talking with him and prayed for his by blessed. It left him. He was all proud cuz it just got the scooter and it was an older scooter. Wasn't nothing fancy, but we blessed it. The third time, my wife and I went down there and there was Sam. Again, looking for me and said hey, I got a new scooter. Can you come and bless it? And so we went out blessed it and the third time I went I made the determination in my heart that I was going to be more aggressive about witnessing. I make sure the Holy Spirit came with me. I prayed up and I was talking to Sam. It was a wonderful thing cuz I'm talking to Sam. I can hear the holy spirit in my ear on telling this asking that. and so I did I said Sam I said if you was a die tonight and Would you know that you would go to heaven Beyond? Absolutely sure. You going to have any and was a wonderful response? Yes. I know the Lord's. My personal savior. Wonderful time, I talk to other men and ask them in a pray for the bikes and drop hints of the Lord, you know, yesterday, I would talk to guys and this one guy he was at his father was a Cuban immigrant came in the 60s. And so he was raised in America all his life, but it was talking about today's problems and stuff and I would drop hints of the Lord and then they can in the conversation and stuff and he was saying I was living your life or I wasn't praying and cuz my life is a miserable. It was awful. I felt it didn't feel good at all. He said I started praying and I started seeking the Lord in my life turned around because of that. Wonderful testimony. I love to hear that stuff talking to other people and how God's moving their lives and then witnessing and dropping seeds in other people's lives. That God will take and bring the increase. Their bring other people in their lives. That'll do supply for CMA. We get out beyond the walls. We do and it's it's a wonderful thing. Yes. I come back home exhausted, but I'm blessed by what I've accomplished through God in reaching out to the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to do the same. You get out. I know you're in a rebuilding process was keep filling. Reach Out, beer, a be bold. It's like their mother going to do to you. They're not going to crucify you. It's going to be okay. They're people just like you and I I'm not asking you to. Go out Minister, the motorcyclist, but we'll go to a restaurant and I'll the rate waitresses bring her food and you know, how's everything? Look great. We are about to pray for our food. Can I pray with you about anyting a lot time steals? Yes. I got a family member one lady. She teared up some my aunt's died and it just it's a great opportunity to look for these opportunities, to witness, what restaurants are near Neighbours and things. And let God let God be God, equipped it all week and out. A lot of tracks. I used to be a non-believer attract. I didn't think they work. But they do ice. Read books are read testimonies. We have a track that we put our tips in, leave it for the waitress. We all have attracted. You. No say, hey, can I give you this? I've read this and it changed my life and meant a lot to me and I give this to you. The more likely that person will take the time to read it. You know, so I encourage you to get witnessing tools, things to do and people to touch lives. We also have a thing called a rag track or a chopped. On it. I'm sorry. I'll do it. Opened up here.

so this get, this is a free gift, and it talks about salvation and talks about in Scott scripture in it and also has The track in it that they read in a Salvation of Jesus Christ. Wonderful. We hand them out all the time. The friend handed out over three thousand of them in Arkansas. Just a few weeks ago. We handed out, probably three of them. Three hundred of them at blip Roasters yesterday. We'd also have it in Spanish. One of our guys, Jim Combs. He carries them. He goes up to the Spanish guy said, hey, I can't read this right tools, right tools.

Years ago, I saw a movie called hacksaw Ridge. If you seen it, it's up. About a young man named Desmond Doss. His dad, I believe, suffer, suffer from PTSD. He would find Comfort cuz he was a former veteran and I I think he found comfort in getting drunk, beat, his wife. Finally Desmond. Doss was a teenager at the time and Dad pulled out a pistol. And Desmond took that pistol away from him, pinned him against the wall and played in his face and Dad's crying. He'll shoot me. Shoot me making. I'm done, you know, but Desmond was totally affected by that. He refused to carry a firearm anymore, but he wanted to join the military. I live in the army, or I'm not sure and

He refused to carry a rifle. He went through all kinds of trouble to, to get approve, not to have to carry this rifle to the point of court-martial. But he finally his dad stepped in and brought law and let her and all this and got, he got approved of it. So he doesn't say a medic in the military, not carrying a rifle. They go to Okinawa to hackzall Ridge. They got this cargo net. They got to climb up. The Japanese are up in there and tunnels and everything else. Just waiting for the Americans to top this. Net. History of Desmond and his troops get up there and all Hell, Fire breaks loose, the guns are blazing. They're shooting pretty soon. The American troops are starting to be overrun. And so all the commander calls in. A barrage of artillery fire from the ship's. Cutting out a cr1616 is mortars are falling in and all the troops are Belle and they're going off that cargonet. They're going down with the last one and he's up there and he before he goes down at net and goes God. What do I do? And amongst all that bombing everything. He hears a scream. And you knew what to do. He puts his helmet on a takes off, dodging, all this. Military ammo coming down and 16 inch mortars and stuff like that and he begins rescuing people. And he keeps finding them. He bring some up a lowering allures and down. Rub his hands are burning, their blisters and everything else. He's doing this throughout the night, exhausted Tire, God. What do I do? Then? He begins to call out. Give me one more Lord. Give me one more each time. He find one a soldier. He attend to it and then dragged him over lowering down. This rope. He saves 75 people that night. And I look at is the hand of God upon him that he didn't get blowed up. But as a Christian as men and women of God, we need to make that wake up every morning. Say, give me one more Lord. Give me one more. There's people out there again, lost dying their dirt in despair. They're scared. One thing I learned about this Facebook post. I told you about earlier, people are scared of dying. We have the peace of God in us. We know each moment. We live is one day closer to going to the grave, but we know that we know that we know that we're going to heaven because we have the peace of God. We've asked Jesus in our heart. We don't need to live in fear. We don't need to pick that up.

When you go hard for God, one more Lord. One more. My last scripture is Joshua 1:9. I have, I have not commanded you. Have I not commanded you be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid. Nor be dismayed for the Lord. Your God is with you. Wherever you go. He's with you. Don't be don't pick up that fair and keep it Sean. It going your strength power and sound mind. Go knowing that God's Got Your Back. Praise God. I hope this challenges you. I hope it.

Help you. I might my desire. Every time I get behind a mocha Pulpit or microphone is I want you to leave here. Challenged excited going hard for God. And I can encourage you to keep praying. Keep seeking him. God is so good. I'm tired is everything. Can we pray with you? Anything? If you think we about Janice and I were in charge of our church prayer, we got pair of teams. We play on Wednesday nights. I pray. Every time we get opportunities to People for People. Is there anything we can pray with you about theirs or need? And your church.

Yes. And you have some sick people in the church that needs prayer. I know Mike sprayed already, but we can do it again. You know it and keep praying. Father. We love you. We thank you. Lord again for your word. We thank you Lord for your such a great big God. I thank you Lord, that you meet our every need Lord. I Thank You Lord. We can call upon you and we have a need in our hearts and our lives and our family members. Lord. I pray for this church. Family Lord. I praise you restore this church. I prayed you'd raise it up. Lord, fill it with holy ghost-filled people nor and fill it with people that are down and desperate. Lord. It didn't need you. Lord. I need a touch from you or we're going to see these buildings. This building. People raised up to be missionaries pastors evangelist. They're going to reach out and touch hearts and lies break things are coming Lord. I ask you to bring the right Pastor in order to lead this congregation Lord in the direction, should go Lord. I ask you to bless those or sick and their bios. You touching he'll raise them up or refute that covid in the name of Jesus. Cuz I asked you to make him whole, like a complete Lord. Cuz you are a God and knows all things. You are a God, is able, a God, is able to do all things or touch hearts and lies. Lord. We thank you. Lord. We praise you. You are king of kings and Lord of lords Jesus name. Amen.
