Thanks! 9 TRI-CITY FOOD PANTRY NEXT SUNDAY Scriptures: Job 38:1–7, Psalm 104:1–9, 24, 35c, Hebrews 5:1–10, Mark 10:35–45 Our Tri-City Food Pantry items for the month of October are peanut butter and jelly. Giving to the Food Pantry is a wonderful way to meet the physical needs of those in our community who struggle to put food on the table. The message will be titled Companions At Journey’s End It will be based on Psalm 134. COMING SOON Sunday, October 24—6:00 p.m.—Church Anniversary celebration. This is our 20th anniversary as a congregation. TITHE FOR MISSIONS Sunday, October 31—Annual Congregational meeting Sunday, November 14—Missionaries Titus and Jewel Romdenh will be with us. Our Tithe For Missions project for the month of October is Operation Christmas Child. Traditionally, we share this as our Tithe For Missions project in November, but this year our November focus will be the missionaries we have coming to visit us. 8 Sunday, November 21—Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ingathering Sunday, December 12—Church Christmas Party Monday, December 20—Blue Christmas Service 5 CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 133 (NLT) How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, Private prayer prepares us for public worship. Pray the following prayer and meditate on it during the time we prepare for worship. Perhaps it will ready you to pour yourself out to God in worship and to receive what God has in store for you this morning. Eternal God, you have been our resting place through the ages. Generations come and pass away, but you abide forever. We praise you for your presence among us. You bring us comfort amid our trials, clarity where confusion persists, peace in the midst of conflict, and hope of eternal life.
