 Children of God

 Proof of Identity

 Like Him

 Not Words

"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? (Luke 6:46, NIV)

 … but Deeds

If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him. (1 John 2:29, NIV)

No-one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No-one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. (1 John 3:6, NIV)

No-one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. (1 John 3:9, NIV)

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. (1 John 3:10, NIV)

 Inclination

 David

 A man after God's heart

After removing Saul, he made David their king. He testified concerning him: 'I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.' (Acts 13:22, NIV)

For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord and had not failed to keep any of the Lord's commands all the days of his life–except in the case of Uriah the Hittite. (1 Kings 15:5, NIV)

Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure. (1 John 3:3, NIV)
