So A.W. Tozer - writes that almost everything wrong with the society of his day was due to the fact that as a nation, we had been losing the knowledge of God.
A) SHORT HISTORY OF A HUMANISTIC ATTACK ON THE SOUL
1. First, we must understand the historical humanist worldview (we are talking about atheist).
2. Second, it is an agnostic (we are talking about pantheist or polytheistic) worldview.
B. And the question we must ask is;
1. Where did this view come from in history?
2. How has it affected the bible and the church?
C. We have to understand this first
1. The attacks on God were not moving the followers of Christ
2. So the attacks started on the works of God
3. The power of God. (Why we studied the attributes of God).
D. Some of the Philosophers who held these views were either atheist or held a religious worldview and they were famous pantheists; they were
1. Baruch Spinoza, David Hume, Georg Hegel, Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, Immanuel Kant, Soren Kierkegaard, Charles Darwin, Friedrich Nietzsche and John Dewey.
