THE ANGEL IN THE AIR.

REVELATION 14:6-7 “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— 7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.””

Nature of the message-Evalasting Gospel

Message-

1. Fear God

2. Give Glory to Him

3. Worship Him alone

The picture is of an angel in the highest possible place using the loudest possible voice to reach the maximum number of people with the good news of God’s salvation. God is appealing to mankind one final time to reject the lies of Satan and respond to the eternal truth of God.

The gospel is “everlasting” -This is the first time the gospel is called everlasting in the entire bible. If the first four books of the New Testament majorly known as the Gospels, never uses the term “everalsting gospel.” But here in Revelation.

Perhaps so because of the nature of the book of Revelation and the immediate context of Chaper 14. Chapter 13 of Revelatio deals with the dragon and the beasts, whose main objective is to create false doctrine, counterfit gospel that God may not be worshipped. God is not worshipped until the doctrine, the teaching, the gospel is of truth!

The Gospel of TRUTH is unstoppable Gospel! They threw John in the island of Patmos that they may stop the Gospel. they crucified Peter upside down that they may Stop the Gospel. They skinned Bathlomeo a live that they may stop the Gospel. Paul is in Prison and in chains, that they may stop the gospel, yet thusands of millions of peoples’ lives are beeing transformed by the gospel. blind are seeing by the gospel, the lame a re walking againg by this gospel, the sick and the broken hearted are healed by the gopsel. The captives are being set free by gospel. For the gospel the prison gates will open. for the gopsel the chains will way for the gospellers, the chain fall off, the lions silenced, the fires are quenced, the tombs open.

This Gospel is unstoppable! this gospel is unchanging, this gospel is unbowed, this gospel is unboagable! It is an everlasting Gospel.

The gospel is Jesus. He is the goodnews of salvation. He came to seek and to save the lost of Israel.

1 Cor. 2:1-2 “1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

Jesus is the Everlasting Gospel.

Luke 24: 27 “27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.”

He is the text of the scripture, The pages of the Bible. From everlasting to everlasting He is God, the Word of life (John 1:1). No power can stop Him.

The Roman solders cannot bind him, the tomb cannot contain him, the demonds cannot scare him. Matthew 16:18 “18 And I also say to you that .... on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

The church is protected, the gospel is here to stay, for the church is built on a firm foundation of truth. 1 Cor. 3:11 “11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

The everlasting gospel calls they who live on earth, nations and kindreds, and tongues to : 1. Fear, God, 2. give Him the glory, 3. worship Him and him alone who made the heavens and earth.

FEAR GOD.

God saw as we near the close of world history, there will be scarcity of the fear of God in the world. To fear God is not to be terrified by God. It means honor God. to sanctify Him in our lives. to set Him apart in our lives as supreme power and authority that controls our being. It is to respect Him, to hold no controversy with Him, and to be subjects of His will.

here specifically, to, reverence, honor, obey God. Render homage not to the beast, to his image, or to any idol, but to the only true God. This is the substance of the gospel - its end and design - to turn people from all forms of idol worship and superstition, to the worship of the only true God.

Unfortunately this is not the case. We are living in a time when men and women feel too enlightened for God. God is a old school fashioned fellow who seemsfar withdrawn from time and reality of this Generation. His demands are outdated and simply not for this age.

Moses would remove His shoes to be in the presence of God, but this generation would rather be in their shoes, but walk naked in the presence of God.

The apostolic church saought to be more and more like Jesus to transform the world, but today christians seek to be like the world to attract the world.

They respected the ordinance of God for family that God made a woman for man’s companionship, but today’s call is to respect people’s desires and choices and that the church should not speak against same sex marriages.

But while all this wickedness is happening the angel of this generation is not a sleep. He is busy in the air. flying from one house to the other, from one church to another church, from one society to another , with one Critical message; FEAR GOD.

What is to Fera God?

To fear God is to say with Daniel, that my God is able to save me from the blazing fiery furnace and from your hand O king, 18But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods.

To fear God is to say with Joseph, “how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”

The history of Joseph and Daniel is an illustration of what He is seeking to accomplish today in the world.

To have men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.

Unfortunately, too many have been bought and sold for mere fame, or acceptance, earthly positions and possesions. men who call sin by other names to make sinners comfortable in sin. Men who though knowing the truth, surpress it in the name of torelance and inclusivity. Christ brought not peace but sword.

deuteronomy 10:12-13 “12 “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good?”

2. To fear God is to Hate evil-

Proverbs 8:13 “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.”

Expose the truth and leave consequences to God!

Give Him Glory

The word glory means “heavy in weight.” The verb glorify means “to give weight to.” God has no equal. He is not a feather weight, but heavey weight. He does anything he wills without freely and perfectly.

To give glory is to Declare hismajesty and his power among the nations, his wondrous works among all the peoples.

To give glory to him is to acknowledge him as the only true God; to set up his pure worship in the heart; and to praise him as the great Ruler of heaven and earth.

is to Awaken, your soul to sing of him who died to be your Saviour and your matchless King through all eternity.

crown Him, Lord of all

Worship Him Alone -who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”

The ultimate design of the gospel, is worship of the true God. The dragon and the beast of Rev.13 are being worshipped. It is in this context the angel is seen flying with Everlasting gospel to all who live on earth. they who have drunk from the cup of fornication of the dragon and the beast, the call is come out of her my poeple!

​We are to worship Him who created. The angel in the air brings an appeal to the first message after creation. Genesis 2:1 -3 “Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.”

The first ever gospel preached to humanity was remember the sabbath day. This day was to remind Adam and Eve of the true God and His power.

Exodus 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”

Sabbath is a weekly reminder to worship God who created. Sabbath is a weekly reminder to be intentional with God who created. Sabbath is a weekly reminder that worship must be Spirit and in Truth. Truth is absolute.

2 Cor. 13:8 “8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” John 8:32 “32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”” Truth is the greatest enemy of Satan. The dragon is against the truth. He fights truth. Sin is a product of distorted truth. Any time truth is disstorted, Man is seperated from God. Any time truth is distorted, God is not worshipped for God is worshipped in truth.

What is truth here? We are not a product of a caotic explosion. NO! We are created by God, this is truth. 2. God created in six days, this is truth. 3. God rested on the seventhday of the creation week, this is truth.4. God blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it,- set it apart for worship. this is truth.

The angel in the air says, “Remember to remember the Sabbath day to remind you of God who created the heavens and the earth. Remember to remember the Sabbath day to remind you to worship him who made the heavens and the earth, the seas and the springs of waters.
