SCRIPTURE-Dan 3:13-26

PRAYER

GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU

INTRO: In a world of bullies - bosses; college/HS peers; religious experts - it is important to know that God Will Take Care of You.

In a world where the unemployment rate of African-American males is 9% compared to other races of 5-7%, it’s important to know God Will Take Care of You.

In a world where psychopathic-paranoid politicians pass a gun law; no license required; no training; to pacify a group of power-hungry people who claim to be “Pro-Life” it’s important to know God Will Take Care of You.

YES! God Will Take Care of You.

But there is something that YOU must do. Not to earn it, but to INITIATE His protection.

Lift Your Voice - 13-18

E - The verses. Powerful vs Powerless

POWERFUL - Developed System of idol worship.

POWERLESS - King’s Threat vs God’s Promise.

IS 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

R - God Will Take Care of You because of your testimony. LIFT YOUR VOICE.

ILLUS: Trying to find “My voice.” Your voice is important.

First you have to know who to listen to.

Jn 10:27 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

Then you have to know WHY you’re lifting your voice.

Acts 4:33-35 “With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.”

A - Lift Your Voice. Speak respectfully.

When the Powerful attempts to turn you away from God remember, God Will Take Care of You.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”

Lift Your Eyes - 19-23

E - the verses. King’s attitude changed to anger.

Anger made king’s face turn purple.

Anger made the king order the furnace to be 7x’s hotter.

Anger made the king order the strong men to bind Shadrach Meshach, and Abednego...

...And that was the Big Mistake.

R - You can’t BIND a child of God!

When you’re bound, Lift Your Eyes.

Psalm 121:1 “I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from?” My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

If your Help is JESUS, YOU ARE FREE.

John 8:36 “He who the Son sets you free, is free indeed.”

Stand firm in that FREEDOM.

Galatians 5:1 - It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

To experience the freedom Christ offers, you have to be in the Spirit.

2 COR 3.17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

A - “I AM FREE!” Look in the Mirror and say “I’m FREE.”

LIFT YOUR HANDS - 24-26

E - The verses.

Their hands were bound by the earthly king; set free by the heavenly King.

Their silence raised the curiosity of Nebuchadnezzar.

(Your silence throws the enemy off. He can’t read your mind.)

King said “Didn’t we throw 3 in? Why do I see 4?”

R - What were they doing? Walking around praising God.

That 4th one was with them in the fire.

Who is this 4th one? Jesus (Attributes).

Why do I say they were Praising? Because Jesus was in their presence.

We rejoice in deliverance BUT can we praise Him in the FIRE?

It’s in the FIRE that you should LIFT YOUR HANDS and praise HIM…In the fire.

CLOSE:

God Will Take Care of You, so Lift Your VOICE and PRAISE HIM...

God Will Take Care of You, so Lift Your EYES and PRAISE HIM...

God Will Take Care of You, so Lift Your HANDS and PRAISE HIM...

Praise Him with Power - Acts 1:8.

Do Not Fear... because God Will Take Care of You.
