We all have 5 core needs that need to be met in everyone’s life:
SECURITY: Who Can I Trust?
IDENTITY: Who Am I?
BELONGING: Who Wants me?
PURPOSE: Why Am I Alive?
COMPETENCE: What Do I Do Well?
John 4:1-15
Bottom Line: Everyone is thirsty for a sense of belonging; a relationship with Jesus is the only relationship that truly satisfies this core need. John 4:10
Your friends, your spouse, your things, your kids, or your job were never intended by God to fulfill this core need; nothing other than Jesus could bear the weight of such a burden. John 4:13-14
God knows everything we chase after to try to find a position of belonging; yet, He still invites us into His belonging. John 4:16-23

God supplies for every need you have according to His riches in Christ Jesus; when we understand this we can thrive in our purpose regardless of circumstances. Philippians 4:19
God wants you to find your position of belonging in Him; try we may, but we will never be satisfied in anything other than Jesus. John 15:1-5
