"The Marriage Supper of the Lamb"
REVELATION 19:1-10
REVELATION 19:1-10
INTRODUCTION:
What do you have to look forward to when life on this Earth is over? It's time you gave serious thought to that question.
I find it amazing that everyone with whom I come in contact gives a great deal of time to making plans for the future in this life. Plans for college , plans for marriage, plans for the family , and even plans for retirement .
A number of years-ago, was discussing the future with a young law. student. “What. are your plans for the future?” he asked. "Graduate from law school. "said the young man. “Then what?” Then came the reply. "Practice Law" was the answer. "Then what?". "Get rich!" "Then what?" 'Retire." "Then what?. "Die!" "Then What?”
The answer came, "The Judgement." The young man left hurriedly to a wooded area. There he gave his life to the Lord.
My friend, What plans have you made for eternity?
The future for the believer is filled with joy. In our text is only part of the story.

1 After this, I heard what sounded like a vast crowd in heaven shouting, “Praise the Lord! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.
2 His judgments are true and just. He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the murder of his servants.”
3 And again their voices rang out: “Praise the Lord! The smoke from that city ascends forever and ever!”
4 Then the twenty-four elders and the four living beings fell down and worshiped God, who was sitting on the throne. They cried out, “Amen! Praise the Lord!”
5 And from the throne came a voice that said, “Praise our God, all his servants, all who fear him, from the least to the greatest.”
6 Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder: “Praise the Lord! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.

5 When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6 “At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’
7 “All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps.
8 Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’
9 “But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked.
11 Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’
