The Lord Forgives (1-5)

This anthem discusses the happy, blessed state of those who have been reconciled to God.
Forgiven - nesuy - means to be carried or lifted up.
Covered - like the flood waters covered the earth, or clothes. We have been covered in the righteousness of Christ.
Romans 4:7-8 and then Romans 4:24-25 “but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.”
When we try to ignore our sin we have physical and spiritual sickness. When we confess we have freedom!

The Lord Preserves (6-7)

Even in the midst of trouble, God keeps those who belong to Him. He keeps us from spiritual backsliding.
He hides us from trouble.

The Lord Guides (8-11)

He leads us in the way of blessing during times of hardship.
The horse story, look to God’s eye for direction.
