Sermon Tone Analysis

Kingdom, coming in power, bi and verse, in chapter 9 of Market begins.

Jesus says that he said to them.

Truly.

I tell you some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that, the kingdom of God has come in power.

And what do you think that phrase meant to the disciples?

What do you think?

They thought, where do you think their minds went back in like the last?

Kill, Jesus's is announcing.

The kingdom is coming.

The kingdom of God, is coming in power, and the disciples must have been beside themselves.

You know, it's beginning.

Jesus going to start setting things, right?

This is awesome.

This is wonderful, but

and and thinking, in terms of the messiah's, Conquering roll.

But was Conquering the world.

That Display of Power that Jesus had in mind, when he said that, no, no far from it.

There will come a time when the Messiah will come as a Conquering Hero.

But in 33 ad, that was not the time.

People, like you and me.

Get all kinds of wrong ideas about the Messiah.

I think, one of the songs today, talked about their Shattered Dreams, sometimes our dreams about what God can do for us, is far from what he plans for our lives.

And you know, some I've been sucked in by Prosperity Gospel in.

And when they don't get rich overnight, they might question, man.

Is God even real.

some people sometimes people hear about, A spiritual event baptism, sanctification, by the way, I've got one person that wants to be baptized and will work out.

Probably at this point.

Get another horse trough in the basement and some some Sunday after church do baptizing.

Let me know if you're interested in being baptized and Yo, so people here about some, some religious experience baptism, sanctification entire sanctification, some other experience, and they think that's going to put them on Easy Street.

They'll never faced anything hard again.

And then when they face things of life, like cancer coming up, like not getting straight A's, they assumed.

They would get the kind of bewildered in unhappy.

And I wonder how have you how have I wronged?

We pictured, the kingdom of God's blessing for us.

So, I wrote in this little prayer, father, our imaginations about you and having about grace and mercy about many other things can fill us with awe and wonder that leads to disappointment.

Hey, what ways did the kingdom of God come in power and Within six days, three people saw the Transfiguration and as we will see you this morning and that was quite a demonstration of God's power.

II more people, saw Jesus death and Resurrection Paul says, 1.5 hundred saw him.

That is Christ at one time that's in 1st Corinthians 15 after that.

He appeared to more than 500 of the brothers and sisters.

At the same time.

Most of whom are still living though, some of falling asleep, the third on the power and Kingdom.

Coming was the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came down.

And it looked like tongues of flaming fire that came down and separated and rested on each one in about five thousand were added to the church that day and Acts chapter 2, Fourth, some of them would have seen the spread of the church, first with the dispersed Jews and then bleeding over to the Gentiles around them.

And then, throughout the Gentile world, as the book of Acts records and has the Epistles, the letters record, and then I'd say, V the power, and the glory of God's kingdom didn't stop in the first century.

It is spread over the whole earth and even too many obscure corners of the world.

So how have you seen the kingdom coming in power?

And I've seen And if we can put us there, if anybody is bold and wants to speak out, how have you seen the kingdom coming in power?

Yeah, we're all kind of quiet but I have seen the kingdom coming in power in Chains.

Flies changes, in my heart, my timid and fearful, little heart changes.

In other people's hearts piano addicts going to productive members of the community.

And

All kinds of ways people having peace beyond their understanding and rough circumstances.

Some people see the power of God, of course, in the birth of every little child or grandchild.

Others in the beauty of God's creation or a sunset have using the kingdom coming in power and then So, Jesus talked about that.

What happened you after Jesus had finished?

If you remember, last week, genius, Jesus, and finish talking about losing one's life, to save it.

And that any talked about the cost of following him, and he had spoken about the kingdom coming in.

Power wheel, what happened?

And that brings us to verse 2. After 6 days, Jesus Took Peter James and John with him, let them up high mountain where they were all alone.

He was transfigured before them.

His clothes became dazzling, white wider than anyone in the world, could have bleach them, and there appeared before them, Elijah, and Moses who were talking with Jesus.

You know, transfigured Transfiguration.

May, I would, I'm told means not being a fluent reader of biblical.

I'm told means giving outward expression to Once in word character, so, For however long it was whether it was a few seconds to whether it was a few hours.

They saw Jesus in glorified State the glory, he had with the father before he was born as Paul says in Philippians 2:6, about the pre incarnate Christ.

He said we be being in the very nature.

God did not consider equality with God, something to be used to his own Advantage.

Another place talking about the glory of the pre incarnate Christ, John 17:5, and now father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

The back to Mark 9 Mark, 9 tells us that Jesus close Shone brighter than any bleacher could make them one translation.

I saw said than any Fuller could make them when I go, what in the world is a fuller.

Has anybody know what a fuller is?

I wonder how long Moses and Elijah talked with Jesus.

And what did they talk about found over in Luke?

Luke tells us what they talked about two men, Moses.

And Elijah appear glorious Splendor talking with Jesus and they spoke about his departure.

Would she was about to bring the Fulfillment at Jerusalem, so they spoke about his departure.

His trial is suffering, is his death and his resurrection in Jerusalem.

Yeah, suck.

Jesus departure.
