What is worship? The new testemant greek word for worship is “Proskuneo”, which means to fall down before or to bow down before.

In scripture, worship is descibed as both a way of life and a specific activity. Praising, adoring and having reverence toward God, both publicly and privately, are acts of worship. True worship to us as followers of Christ should be a lifestyle. Our lifestyle should glorify God. When we live there, the power of God resides within us greatly and can be the very thing that casues a person to desire what it is that we posses!
The apostle Paul said it best in Romans 12:1 "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship.”
For those who are in Christ by virtue of saving faith, the only acceptable worship is to offer ourselves completely to the Lord. Under God’s control, the believer’s yet-unredeemed body can and must be yielded to Jesus as an instrument of righteousness (Romans 6:12-13; 8:11-13). In view of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus for us, this is only “reasonable.”
We live this life by not conforming to this world and having our minds renewed. Remember the lust of the eye, lust the flesh and the pride of life. What we put before our eyes is what causes all of this. Our thoughts and desires are a result of what we put before our eyes. I have come to the conclusion that the decline of our world and churches is self. We all have become selfish rather that selfless! Our desires as believers should be to only please the father! To be under the control of Jesus.
We need a constant reminder! Each day we should wake up with Isaiah 53 on our hearts and minds. This scripture has absolutely rocked my world! I owe Him all! The crazy thing, it’s to our benifit!
We always chase after mans aproval when in fact, we have been chosen by the one whom has created it all! Our submission to His authority results in peace, power , changed lives! We were created to worship.
