TLB Galatians 6:7 Don’t be misled; remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it: a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows!
To begin with Brothers and sisters as I was compelled commissioned and commanded to teach and preach this lesson. Because The Apostle Paul says whatever you’re sowing that’s what you’re going to reap. And I found out that this text is talking about blessing your Pastor when you have received a proper word from God Let’s read it from the TLB
6. Those who are taught the Word of God should help their teachers by paying them.
I’ve been only reading this message from the KJV but you could miss the interpretation from the KJV
Galatians 6:6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
You see how you could miss the true meaning, That’s why its essential to properly research whatever passage of scripture even if you think you know the depths of it.
Look at verse 7. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Because Our theme verse In Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
In Galatians 6:7 Today I want to teach us that sowing and reaping goes hand and hand
From the Living Bible I learned that it is biblical to take care of your Pastor. because Galatian 6:6 says Those who are taught the Word of God should help their teachers by paying them
Then the famous verse 7
7 Don’t be misled; remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it: a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows!
Please follow what the bible says because as I studied the text I found out first of all that some the people in Paul’s Galatian Church were trying to deceive the Church and the Pastor. And I thought about it, somebody had to have influenced that deception. The word Deceived in the Greek vernacular is the word Planasthe (Plan- not -O) it means to be led astray. it means somebody has fooled you.it means you have been bamboozled .
Then what’s worse is that you were trying to play around with God! The text says God is not mocked. In the Greek : Mukterizetai (mook ter riz so). It means two things: Everybody say two things:
1. It means to suffer a nose bleed, or
2. It can also mean to hold your nose up in the air as to look down on someone or something.
The Theologians had a big Theological Argument about this phrase “God is not mocked”. (Mook ter riz So) It was revealed to me,after reading all of their commentaries.
This is what I came up with, that If God is Omnipotent All powerful, and He is. And if God is Omniscient All Knowing , and He is. and If God is Omnipresent Everywhere at the same time, and He is. Then God knew when that joker was trying to be deceitful and mocked Him to His face!!! Yeah Yeah Yeah!
Brothers and sisters, God sits up high and look down low and He doesn’t miss anything.
Tell your neighbor: God don’t miss nothing!
God knows when we are mocking Him !!! So Don’t play with God don’t clown with Him 3x.
Paul says Whatsoever a man Sows. Sow in the Greek vernacular is the Sperizo It carries the idea of seeds being planted but in this text it also speaks in the third person singular meaning I’m talking about you.
Not anybody else sowing but you, so brothers and sisters good or bad you are doing the sowing.
Consider this that the book of Galatians is not the only book that references sowing and reaping.
Job 4:8 Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, And sow wickedness, reap the same.
7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind:
It hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal:
If so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
Proverbs 22: 8 He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: And the rod of his anger shall fail.
And what that means is those who plan evil will receive trouble and their cruel anger will come to an end.
So why not sow good seeds? because
Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness,
Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground:
For it is time to seek the LORD, Till he come and rain
righteousness upon you.
Tell your neighbor : It’s time to get it right.
In our theme text the last thing the verse says is 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
“That shall he also reap”.
reap in the Greek vernacular is the word Therizo it means the consequences of an action. It’s the reaping of a harvest and in this case in Galatians 6:7 it means that there is an emphasis on the moral righteousness and an emphasis on the normativeness of the event. Meaning it’s all being recorded in heaven and written down by your name.
A philosopher named Philo said that “ the horizon is still in this world but the eschatological influence of the term reaping reaches into heaven”.
Simply put the Old folk use to say I’m sending up my timber. Yeah yeah yeah 2x. I’m sending it up to heaven so when I get there so I have a brand new home already prepared for me.
And So, as I leave you here today um um when it’s His to call and mine to answer
I want to be somewhere listening for my name yes And when it’s all said and done Lord
I want my wife to say I’ve been a good husband and
I want my children to say I’ve been a good daddy and
I want my church to say I’ve been a good Pastor
I want people to say I’ve been a good preacher and
I want my family and friends to say I’ve been a good person yes
But Most of All I want the lord to say I’ve sowed good seeds I’ve planted a good garden and I’ve been a good soldier yes I want to hear God say Servant Servant Servant
Well Done!!! Oh Well Done3x
What kind of Seeds are you sowing. 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap
