The Most Important Thing 가장 중요한 것

Intro

Illustration: Do you love God? Most people say “Yes” Tell me how you love God in practical way. Show me evidence; then we have problem (Reading the Bible – reading love letter)

LOVE God and others

Problem 1: It is hard to know how to love God who is invisible. 보이지 않는 하나님을 사랑한다는 것은 매우 어려운 일이다.

i.e. – Five Love Language – service: Meal; David asks me

Problem 2: How many is the most? It is only one not two.

i.e. – John 21:15-17 : after the resurrection, Jesus came to meet Peter

Conclusion: If you truly love God, you love brothers and sisters as you love yourself. You love God as much as you love your neighbors. If you love God, you share what he has done with others through words and our action.

Reward of Love is the crown on our head

It is the crown. It is the glorious crown of righteousness. We get riches in heaven.

i.e. – Savings Account. You put money to save. You will save your riches in heaven and crown.

Crown is very noble. I don’t have the sense of the worth of the crown. I don’t know how valuable it is.

You take out the crown and lay before the Lord

Revelation 4:9-11 – the book of Revelation uses a lot of symbols. 24 elders are not literal 24 elders.

O.T. – 12 tribes of Israel

N.T. – 12 disciples (apostles)

24 Elders represent all believers of all time (you and me)

You don’t give it to the Lord with trifle thing. Remember the O.T. – your sacrifice had to be blemish. You give the first and best thing to the Lord. They take off because the crown itself is far more valuable than what they deserve.

You and I will get the crown if we love God and others. But the crown is far better and much valuable than what we deserve.

Conclusion

We have been talking about the priority. The first priority is loving God. Loving God by taking one and one time with God, and giving sacrificial offering to the Lord. And love others as much as you love yourself.

우선순위에 대해서 이야기 해왔습니다. 하나님을 사랑하는 것이 우리의 최우선 순위입니다. 하나님과의 귀중한 시간, 희생에 예물을 드리는 것, 오늘의 말씀처럼 내 이웃을 나 자신을 사랑하고 아끼는 것 같이 사랑하는 것입니다.
