Define Vigilant

Greek-(nephalion) Temperate, self-control, watchful. The pastor is to be vigilant (watch over) and control his own life and the lives of his people. Mt.26:41 “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Acts 20:31 “Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.” 1 Cor.10:12 “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” 1 Pet.5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

Define Sober

Sophrona—To be sober-minded , that is to have a mind that is sound., sensible, controlled, disciplined, and chaste---a mind that has controll of all their sensual desire. If the mind is controlled the rest of the body with be controlled. 1 Thess.5:6-8 “Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.” Titus 2:11-13 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” 1 Pet.4:7 “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.”

Define Good Behavior

Kosmion—well-behaved, orderly, composed, solid, and honest. It is a person who has good conduct.
1 Cor.13:5 “Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;” 2 Thess.3:6-7 “Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;”
