Introduction
Introduction
Churches are not just there for mutual encouragement.
We are with particular mandates and striving to accomplish specific goals.
How do we establish that strength into our congregations?
The Role of the Church
The Role of the Church
The church holds up but does not produce truth (1 Tim. 3:15).
Knowledge is a fundamental characteristic of God’s people (Hos. 4:6).
We must take care not to substitute passion for knowledge (Rom. 10:2).
We have to take the time to build (1 Tim. 4:16).
The Restoration Movement
The Restoration Movement
A movement to restore worship to God according to original patterns.
The book of 1st and 2nd Chronicles was written for those in such a movement.
Learn biblical history…in detail (1 Chron. 1-9).
Learn who God is (1 Chron. 13:6; 22:1; 16:8-12; 17:16-24; 29:10-13).
Follow the pattern.
Successes (1 Chron. 23-27).
Failures (1 Chron. 13:1).
They took particular care (Ezra 2:61-63).
Conclusion
Conclusion
This is a never ending process that we should always be looking to improve upon.
We aren’t just looking for material to take up the next 3 months. We are looking to educate.
We want the next generation to be stronger than the last.
