HARMONY OF EVENTS AT JESUS’ CRUCIFIXION
Jesus arrived at Golgotha.
He refused the offer of wine mixed with myrrh.
He was nailed to the cross between the two thieves.
He gave His first cry from the cross: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”.
The soldiers took Jesus’ garments, leaving Him naked on the cross.
The Jews mocked Jesus.
He conversed with the two thieves.
He gave His second cry from the cross, “I tell you the truth; today you will be with Me in paradise”.
He spoke the third time, “Woman, here’s your son”.
Darkness came from noon to 3 P. M.
He gave His fourth cry, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”.
His fifth cry was, “I am thirsty”.
He drank “wine vinegar”.
His sixth cry was, “It is finished”.
He drank wine vinegar from a sponge.
He cried a seventh time, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit”.
He dismissed His spirit by an act of His own will.
The temple curtain was torn in two.
Roman soldiers admitted, “Surely He was the Son of God”.
