Both hear the words of Jesus - not Christian and heathen

Both build houses - there is no apparent difference from the outside

Both encounter a storm

This could be a trial or a calamity

This could also mean the final judgment

The storm reveals the strength or weakness of the house

A weak foundation - verbal or intellectual knowledge

A strong foundation - doing what I know and acting on what I believe
