Romans 1, 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

I Samuel 16:1-23.

The Beginning of the Age of Prophets of Israel. Samuel was a prophet and a priest. I Samuel 12:22.

1) God provides a king.

a. raah: provides, to see.

1. Genesis 22:4, saw.

2. Genesis 22:8, provide.

3. Genesis 22:13, looked.

4. Genesis 22:14, seen.

2) God’s purpose continues, I Samuel 16:1.

a. How and if are not words of faith, I Samuel 16:2.

b. There is no how or if to God.

3) God’s principles do not change, I Samuel 16:7.

a. The Good Shepherd, John 10:11. Christ gave His life for the sheep.

b. The Great Shepherd, Hebrews 13:20-21. The Holy Spirit is working in us now.

c. The Chief Shepherd, I Peter 5:4. Christ shall appear.
