Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name
Introduction:
Contrary to popular belief “Your Life is Important and it means something special to God!
Sometimes, You may think there is nothing special about you, but to God we are special!
Reminder, You have great value and meaning to God, especially in relationship to his other created life!
In this season, finding you purpose and fulfillment in life begins with understanding that God has created you and added value and significance to your life that He did not give to anyone else! he has given you gifts to minister and serve like no other!
In this season, in the second half you must realize that God has planned and purposed for you to rise above all the disappointments and dissatisfaction that are so common on earth!
It’s your season!
God has given us some amazing Gifts
God’s given us the gift of time and life.
God’s given us the gift of time and life.
King Solomon was a knowledgeable man who thought a lot about the way life goes.
First, human time and human life is different from that of every his other other creations. And though every creature of God has its purpose, God added a greater dimension to the life of of man and woman!
1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
Solomon began this chapter by stating a very basic fact: There is a time or season for everything, and also a time for every purpose or activity in our life on earth!
Think about this for a moment; This statement has been quoted often, songs have been written about it, but it is seldom fully understood.
⇒ First, he was saying that our life includes a variety of activities and experiences.
⇒ First, he was saying that our life includes a variety of activities and experiences.
Our time on earth is marked by diversity and fluctuation; it is not always the same, unchanging, monotonous routine.
⇒ Second, Solomon was emphasizing that the variety of events and experiences in life are ordered and appointed by God. The specific words he uses in this verse are key to understanding this truth:
⇒ Second, Solomon was emphasizing that the variety of events and experiences in life are ordered and appointed by God. The specific words he uses in this verse are key to understanding this truth:
In simple terms, our life is a variety of experiences, a variety of activities, and a variety of events controlled by God.
This means God has a plan for every one of our lives .
Things do not happen by chance.
It is not Fate that determines the days of our lives or what occurs in those days. God has a specific purpose and plan, and the events of our lives are in accordance with that plan.
In this verse , Solomon was talking about of the providence or the wisdom of God.
Providence
Providence
Providence is defined in our English dictionaries as the act of seeing and providing or preparing for the future, and Biblical y
refers to God’s foresight and power to watch over and protect and provide for His creatures
Honestly, I know very little about God’s providence;
I don’t even know - how the choices I make affect God’s providence
But God knows all and is in control of our lives!
God has a purpose and plan for every person’s life, and all that occurs in each of our lives.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
God works all things out for good to all who love Him.
God works it out according to His timing and plan for us.
2 A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
8 A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.
Solomon lists fourteen couples of activities that are a part of each one of our lives Solomon uses extremes (
Like birth and death, mourning and dancing , love and hate , lose and keep, But this also includes everything in between!
So understand that he was not only referring to the two specific events in each pair, but also to the entire range of actions they comprise
Seasons
Seasons
We all experience change and transition in life. Sometimes life is exciting, dynamic, and we feel on top of the world.
At other times we just want to go away and escape the situation
6 So I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.
There are those days where , just like King David said, “Oh that I could fly away with wings like a dove”.
We must understand the seasons.
We must understand the seasons.
If we don’t understand that there are seasons in life, we may draw the wrong conclusions about what is happening in our lives, or the reasons for it.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
God has a plan and a purpose to make your life exceeding abundantly more than you can thin or imagine
God has us in a process.
You are in process -
Biblical Process
Biblical Process
You are in the act of proceeding;
You are in the act of continued forward movement;
You are in the act of advancement
A series of actions, a series of motions, a series of occurrences;
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
The challenge is , we can’t see the scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
In tough times where health, money, friends, marriage is not looking good we may wonder what is going on.
But God makes US strong through all the trials
God makes us wise through tough seasons
God makes us patient through circumstances in life
It is through and during the tough seasons that we often grow the most in our character.
It is difficult to form outstanding character in seasons of pure prosperity.
This is one reason why God ordains seasons where we have to fight, where things do not come easily.
Life is a balance of positives and negatives. No human being experiences exclusively one or the other.
Solomon is stressing the point that God’s plan for our lives includes ups and downs, mountains and valleys, pleasure and pain.
In His infinite wisdom, God knows that we need to face problems and trials that will stir us to pray and draw closer to Him.
Through such trials, we grow stronger and learn to trust Him more and more. Therefore, both good experiences and trials are needed for God to complete His purposes for us.
For this reason, we must learn to accept both. Job recognized this:
10 Job answered, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Should we take only good things from God and not trouble?” In spite of all this Job did not sin in what he said.
Within the appointed times and seasons, these thought-provoking pairs paint a collective portrait of the experience of life here on earth.
1) Birth and death (v.2a): there is an appointed time for every person’s birth and a time for every person’s death. God is the giver of life and the taker of life. Because of our sin, He has appointed a time for us to die.
27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
