The Gospel, the Christian life, the convictions held are often seen as misguided, ancient or an ‘-ist’ of some sort. See 2 Corinthians 4:3-4. Much of what the world does not understand about being a follower of Christ is because understanding is a gift from God. Through His Holy Spirit our eyes are opened to the truth about His creation and how it has gone astray from its intended purpose. If you truly want to know why your Christian friends don’t laugh at your jokes or decline invites to certain activities, ask God to open your eyes to His truth.
