LAST WEEK—we said...
“Freedom is on the other side of a hard thing.” (taken from the Netflix series Dive Club S1: E4 by Lucinda)
YOU CAN’T GIVE WHAT YOU DON’T HAVE --
THE ENEMY OF OUR SOUL—SATAN—WOULD LIKE TO KEEP US BROKE, BUSTED, AND BORROWING ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES!
#1 “Belief in God’s Word changes our view of God.”
Our view or position will affect the value we put on God and His Word.
That could be life or death!
#2 “Surgery by God’s Word changes our destiny in God.”
Surrendering to God and His Word is a daily mind set in our journey as Followers in Christ
WE NEED TO TRUST GOD AND HIS WORD JUST AS DAVID WROTE...
Psalm 119:142 (NLT)
142 Your justice is eternal, and your instructions are perfectly true.
WE SPEND MORE TIME TRUSTING THINGS THAT CAN’T BE TRUSTED:
Internet — News — Politicians
This leads to fear and doubt of which leads to arguing and complaining.
We CAN TRUST
God and His Word!!
God’s word doesn’t Change
God’s Word contains nothing Corrupt.
God’s Word never gets old and never wears out.
God is the surgeon we need to save, heal, and restore our lives and He does this through His Word.
Hebrews 4:12
Hebrews 4:12 NLT
12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

Ways Not to Faint from Day to Day

MANY TIMES WE WON’T INVEST TIME, ENERGY, OR MONEY INTO SOMETHING UNLESS WE CAN BENEFIT FROM IT
1 Corinthians 10:11 (NASB95)
11 Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
LIKEWISE WE NEED TO SEE GOD’S WORD IS OUR EXAMPLE TO LIVE STRONGER LIVES IN HIM AND WITH ONE ANOTHER.
ps.12.6
Psalm 12:6 NLT
6 The Lord’s promises are pure, like silver refined in a furnace, purified seven times over.
GOD’S WORD IS MORE THAN A BOOK OF INFORMATION OR MAP TO BE SUCCESSFUL— IT IS TRULY ABOUT HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR CREATOR

Because God Loves Me—I Will Engage My Heart before Daily Duties

Proverbs 8:17 KJV 1900
17 I love them that love me; And those that seek me early shall find me.

Because God is My Light I Will—Look to Understand His Word.

16 I will delight in your decrees and not forget your word.
We will remember the silliest Jokes
Recall countless useless statistics, but
then think that we can’t remember scripture.
THAT IS JUST HOW SLY THE ENEMY WORKS.

Because God is Life— I Will Sit at His Feet and Find Joy each Day.

matt.4.4
Matthew 4:4 NLT
4 But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
MARCIE....
“Spending unrushed time alone with God in His Word releases a fountain of refreshment from the very core of your being.” (Wayne Cordeiro)
NEVER forget WHERE wisdom comes from
we should always be teachable no matter how old we get.
when God gives wisdom on a subject,
WRITE IT DOWN
3-RING BINDER
MEDITATE ON IT and
you will remember it when it is needed most.
when reading Gods Word, CAREFULLY listen for what He wants to say to you.
james.1.5
James 1:5 (NLT)
5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
1cor.7.35
1 Corinthians 7:35 The Message
35 I’m trying to be helpful and make it as easy as possible for you, not make things harder. All I want is for you to be able to develop a way of life in which you can spend plenty of time together with the Master without a lot of distractions.
MARCIE....
SECURING UNRUSHED Devotion to God is something I/WE must secure like locking up a bicycle to keep it from getting stolen.
because, things that are GOOD, but not STRATEGIC
NICE but not ETERNAL will steal your time if you let them!
that is why the scriptures says
PROV. 8.17
Proverbs 8:17 KJV 1900
17 I love them that love me; And those that seek me early shall find me.

Make it personal

Daily time in Gods Word is a divine GPS

to teach you how to find your way back to where you got off the path. There are necessary hurts that soften the heart, turn us toward compassion, and deepen humility - HOWEVER -
regularly sitting at the Lords feet will keep you from unnecessary suffering, it will prevent you from bringing needless pain upon yourself. (Wayne Cordeiro)
