Dueteronomy 7

1-6. Chosen…

Because they are chosen he challenges them to a few things…

devote the nations that they conquered by the power of the Lord to complete destruction.

Make no covenant with them… ( dont bring there ideas with the Lords.

Dont intermarry with them ( cause ) . Christians called to not marry unbelievers.

destroy idols ( Josiah )

Why do these things? Because they are chosen.

7-11 Call to Obedience

Because of the promise he made to Abraham and his offspring.

Because God redeemed them.

So they are to follow him

12-16 How to prosper

Follow the Lord ( Christians know we cant thats why need Christ )

Not follow Idols ( trend for people to see about idols )

17-21 The Lord is great and awesome.

Remember what he did.

22-26 The Lord provides safety

The Lord does things on his own times, but always protects his people.
