The Road:
Let’s figure out how we get to the point of justification
Creation > Sin > Salvation > Justification
God sat back on the last day of work, and saw that all he had made was “Good”.
Genesis 3: Sin enters the World.
The definition of sin is any thought, deed, or word that does not being glory to God.
Romans 6:23 (ESV)
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Every single time we sin, there is a payment due to bring us back into right standing with God
In the Old Testament, this took some work:
If you sinned unintentionally, you were to offer a burnt offering.
Which symbolized total devotion to God.
If it was a greater sin, you had to perform a sin offering, which depending on your mean, would be the best animal that you had, laid on an alter, and killed.
But enter in Jesus:
But the best part of Jesus sacrifice, is that His righteousness and holiness was credited to our account because our sin is too great a price for us to pay ourselves.
