*John 15:18 –16:4*
* *
* How much easier it would be if there were no more to being a Christian than accepting Jesus as Savior.
The truth is that without constant attention to self-examination and dependence upon the Holy Spirit, my life will become an embarrassment to Him that died for me.
There is no room in the life of a believer for compromise or association with the attitudes and activities of secular society.*
* For two thousand years Satan has worn a subtle mask.
In recent years he has allowed that mask to slip so that those watching might get a glimpse of his true intentions.
He now seems to have confidence that the world is ready to embrace him and that the Church is either powerless or apathetic to oppose him.
He has led us down false paths and proved his superior strategy.
Now that the need is greatest we are at our weakest.
*
* The overwhelming majority of people are willing to accept anything.
Eighty five percent of Americans say they believe in God.
But if you ask if that belief changes the way they act or behave you discover something quite different.
Most of America’s 300 million people (including many of those that attend church every week) do not accept the authority of the Bible in determining morality.
One of the Devil’s biggest lies has to do with basic goodness.
Many are convinced that good intentions and morality are the same.
While the efforts of well-intentioned people may appear the same as the good works of a believer there is a significant difference – motivation.
Christians are born again and do good works because their lives have been transformed.*
*We need now more than ever to be separate from the world.
Human nature is often a stronger stimulus for behavior than even the Spirit’s leading.
Old habits often lie in shallow graves and are easily resurrected.
Just as one bad apple may rot the entire barrel, a lost person may lead a Christian friend astray.
Does that mean we completely isolate ourselves from the lost?
No!
What it means is that we are to set the parameters for the relationships we involve ourselves in and not vice versa.*

Let us be found faithfully watching when He comes!*
