Proposition: Everyone must make a decision as it pertains to Jesus Christ. If one chooses Christ then that decision must be certain. Make no mistake. There is no middle ground.
Introduction- The Pirate Treasure map
- Talk about some of the movies, shows, or cartoons that had as part of the plot a map that locates a treasure.
- Transision into the though of all of us using a mental map to find our own personal treasure.
- Stress the importance of searching honestly.
I. The Descision of Our Treasure
- What is our treasure?
- Do we value material things?
- Money
- Cars, and houses
- Clothing, shoes
- Do we value non material things?
- God, Faith, and Relationship
- Service, Family, Ministry
- Where we place our treasure?
- Do we trust our most prized possesions to this world?
- where thay can be destroyed or stolen
- Do we trust our most prized possesions to heaven?
- where thay can not be destroyed or stolen
II. The Decision of Our Hearts Desire
- What we treasures determines our desires and motivations
- If we desire and are motivated by bad things, then we will conduct our whole body in a bad way
- How great is that badness
- If we desire and are motivated by good things, then we will conduct ourselves in a good way
Conclusion- You can't have your cake and eat it too!
- No one can serve two masters
- You will love one and hate the other
- We often try to to have it both ways, but don't fool yourself. God knows. You know, and mostly everyone else knows also.
- We all will know who realy loves Jesus after while.
