Good morning, all we're recording today from a different location. So if the internet is up and down and and you haven't like glitches, I heard you to dial in and the dialing number is 617-691-8011, is 617-691-8011 darling. And you know if we have any internet issues. All right. Love you guys. I'm glad to be here with you. Thank you for joining us here at St. Luke uamee online. Let's start church. I was glad when they said unto me. Let us go into the house of the Lord family. It is so wonderful to be in the house of the Lord.

God is good.

Actually started with the wrong song. I was giving you all the simanek him, but you know what?

Yes. He is so good. He has been so good to me. I could never repay him for all the things that he has done. For me. He is so good. He is with meat in my highs and he is with me in Milo's. He is an awesome God. Who else can you depend on? Who else? Can you depend on God? Family family, give him, the praise, give him all the glory, and all the honor, because it all the long to him. A man. And now for the scripture, reading the scripture today will come from John 13:6 through 17, John. 13:6 through 17. I will be reading it to you through an IV and it says he came to Simon Peter. Who said to him? Lord. Are you going to wash my feet? Jesus replied? You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand. No, Peter. No, say Peter, you shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered, unless I wash you, you have no part with me. Then Lord, Simon Peter reply, not just my feet but wash my hands and my head as well as Jesus answered those who have had a bath need only wash their feet. Their whole body is clean. And you are clean though, not everyone of you. For he knew who was going to portray him. And that is why he said not, everyone was clean. When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and return to his place. Do you understand what I have done for you? He asked him. You call me teacher and Lord and rightly. So, for that is what I am. Now that I your lord and your teacher have washed, your feet. You also should wash, one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly, I tell you. No servant is greater than his master. Nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Navigate, you know, these things. You will be blessed. If you do them. Amen. Amen. And amen. Heavenly Father, we come to you today. We thank you for just being who you are. We ask that you continue to guide us and give us Direction. Heavenly Father Heavenly Father. We thank you for being here for your spiritual. Holy Spirit, van here with us on this day. Heavenly father. Let us not just be heroes of your word on this day. But let us go out and be DUIs of your word. So, father we come to you and we pray this prayer because we love you and it is in the wonderful, matchless name of your son, Jesus Christ that we do. Pray this prayer. Amen. Amen. And amen.

Amen. Amen. Amen. Hidden here in. Awesome God. How God is an awesome. God family. I just wanted to remind you that I am broadcasting from a different location today. And we may be having a little bit of technical difficulties where the signal is not as strong. I heard you, if you are dialed in, and you are having issues, please dial into our phone line, which is 6176 Mi 18011 617-691-8011 and family. Thank you for sitting with us through the announcements. And now it is time for the Demonic in the next place that you will hear. Is that of the Reverend Jay Anthony Jones, pastor of st. Luke uamee. Piney Point, Maryland.

Wow, you know what? That's a way to start my Sunday off y'all. Just knowing that he went to Calvary to save a Wretch like you and me. That's love. No one else could have paid that price but him so I'm giving honor to God today for without him. I would be lost. Without him you would be lost. So giving honor to God. Not only giving honor to God on this date, but recognizing all about Saint Luke officers and members. And I guess that it with us here on the line today. We thank you for joining us. I have to acknowledge my lovely daughter inside Antonia and Taylor. They join me on Bible Study last Thursday was just great seeing them. They have a different mission in mind, but still they enjoyed the word and die and and and it's good. So I just want to say to you both that. I love you very much and let us get into the message. Let us pray Heavenly Father. We come before you we thank you for who you are. We thank you for being the god that sits high and looks low and watches over your children. Father. I ask now that you hide me the Reverend Jay Anthony Jones behind the cross and let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable. In your sight. Oh Lord. For You Are My Strength and my redeemer. Amen. Amen. That's a mighty Kim. Really touched me, all that's love to know that he died on that cross to save a Wretch like you and me. That is love. Proof, Hallelujah, today's message will be Servants of the most high and we came from John 13, 16 through 17, but I'm going to focus on to today, that's going to be 12 and 13. And it says when he had finished washing their feet. He put on his clothes and return to his place. And he said, do you understand what I have done for you? Do you understand what I have done for you? He said you call me teacher and Lord and rightfully so for that is what I am. Amen, amen. So what does it mean family? What does it mean to be served? What does it mean to be certain you do? I get confused when I hear people like the courts and that they serve somebody, you know, because when you're served by law, it normally means something bad. So, you know, I get confused over that word sir, but what is the real meaning of served or to serve? Serve me to perform duties or services to or for another person. You don't like, for instance, when we go to a restaurant. We are serve food. Which benefits us?

But now the person that is giving us the food, he or she is called a server. But here is something that I want you to think about a server. Can serve you cheerfully or begrudgingly. And as the person been served, you pay a service of gratitude gratuities on. Normally, I say to you normally because some of us even refused to pay when we get good service. Amen, but let me share something with you that I learned over time because I used to be one of those people. I used to tip according to the service that they gave me, but I want to tell you that show gratitude to those that serve you even when it is not good because you are the light of God and you might be that light that they need to see. Maybe they have a situation going on at home. Maybe they feel like life is hopeless. You never know. What a person is dealing with you made you. You you just maybe that light the family. You are also a servant. You are a servant of the most high Jehovah God. And your job is to give hope your job is to spread hope. But let me ask you a question before I go on. Is God, not the ruler over our lives? You know, he sent his son Jesus into the world to save the world. But in order for him to do this in order for him to save the world and be Lord and Savior over your life. He had to service. You know, a good leader will always put themselves in a server to position a position of humility for those that they lead. Because God is their God, Amen. But y'all not hear me right now, and, and, and maybe some of you would not even understanding me right now. And you might be saying, how could this be? So, let me put this in Earthly terms for you. You know, you're at the beach. Earthly terms. Okay. You at the beach and you're having a Carefree day, enjoying your time, with family with Friends building sandcastles you, I'm just building up the story for you. All right, everyone is dipping their feet in the water and then you decide to go a little further. And the tides, I'm going to call the ties for a moment sent. Okay, and this and in the end that I they catch you. And they begin to take you out to see. You are about to die. What's a lifeguard sees you? And he knows that he or she must serve you at that particular moment. You see in order to lead you to safety he or she has to serve you. And he serves you.

By Saving you. But let me stop right here because I'm confusing. Someone right now. Let me tell you this part. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him, you know, I said I was going to leave it alone, but I can't. Jesus was sent in a sense to be a lifeguard you out and you're drowning and spin, only, he can save you a men. Now, imagine this. Imagine if he refused to serve you then we would all be dead. A man what he came to serve. But thank God. That Jesus came not only to, to not to be served. So he didn't come to be served. He came to serve and that is not just how, but why he is Lord and Savior over our lives, but less exam. The scriptures just for a minute, or let me tell you a short story, you see. We love Jesus. We know his place in my life. But let's look at this story for a moment. You remember the story of this mother, who wanted her two sons to sit at the right hand of Jesus. When he went to heaven, destitutes to sit at the right hand, left hand of him on his throat. You remember that story. I'm not going to tell you that story because I'm not ready to take you there in this sermon, maybe on another day, but just remember that lady, who wanted her son to sit at the right hand, left hand of God, you know, you can read that story of Matthew 20, but here's my question. I keep saying, I'm not going to tell you that they can sit at the right hand and the left hand of Jesus without serving the people, without taking care of the people. They did nothing but yet they wanted to be in a position and all too often. This is where we are and I life, we want to leave, we want to be large and in charge in and we want to be able to leave without even paying out dues. Some of y'all still have no clue what I'm talking about it, where I'm going, but stick with me for a minute before we go on. Let me read this to you from Matthew 20:27. It says and whoever would be first among you must be your slave. So whoever wants to lead you, they must be your slave. Many of what the title of leadership in the church, but we don't want to pay the dues. We love the title of leader. We love being officers and leaders of the church. We love even their members of the church. We love them call Kristin. But how many of you are willing to be slaves? The answer is not many are willing to be slaves. We all want to be leaders. But but but I'm willing to say that not many of us are willing to to take out the towel and the water basin and wash the feet of someone else. You see? Because that is a servitude Road. Should I answer this message right here, right. Now, you know, I'm thinking that I should in this message right here, right now. Cuz I, I can hear your grumbling out there and I'm not even in this shot. I'm going to ask you what? This may not be. Making some of y'all happy to be a slave. You see, when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and savior over our lives. And we accepted him as off master. And as a Mastiff, we are his service. And we are to do as he asked. You think while I'm referring to, what I'm referring to right here, right now, in the biblical sense of servant. I must tell you this. The word servant mean slave, but here's something that's his something interesting. Y'all write, this one down. Not every servant is a Slave.

But every slave is a servant. I'm a repeat that for y'all. Not every servant is a slave, but every slave is a servant. I'm going to clarify that. You see Jesus was a servant, but he wasn't a slave, but we are servants and we are slaves. We are slave to Christ because of his righteousness, a Roman 622. It says, but now that you have been been set, free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefits that you reap leads to Holiness and the result is eternal life. My God, you know, in the beginning of this size, sermon, we talked about the server in the restaurant and an n and how when they give us bad service. Sometimes we don't reward them. But here's my question to you. How many times in one day? Do you? Give bad service to God into God's people while we know what is in our heart. God also knows what's in our heart and we have no idea what is going on in someone else's life. Referring to that servant, at that restaurant. The person who saved you. So this is why you are to be there. Like, this is why you are to still do your Godly Duty. Wow, they may be suffering, serve them back with the love of God, God for men. And when he served that he served as unconditional love, and that is the thing that we should to Reverend Jones. Reverend, tell me, where are you going with this lesson and John 13, Jesus washes, the feet of his disciples, you know, it was customary back. Then to watch the seat you to watch your own feet. Before you sat down for a meal, know, you got to remember they sent down low and and, and they did a lot of walking on those roads in those rows with dirt roads, right? So, so so their feet. When not only filthy, but they were Opposed to other people sitting around then while they were ready to eat. Y'all know, some of y'all be having a fit, right about not looking at somebody dirty feet and trying to eat, right? So this is what the purpose of washing the feet. But on this night before they hate Jews, began, washing the feet of each of his disciples along with drying them on the towel that he had around his waist. Guess what? And he is the first he came to Simon Peter who said to him, Lord. Are you going to wash my feet? Play Jesus replied. You do not realize what I am doing, but later you will understand. How many of you know where this is leading. How many, if you know where this, although Peter and the rest of the disciples didn't understand how many of you know, where we are going right here? No, you shall never wash my feet, and you all know. The story of Peter. Peter was always Define rebellious as to, where Jesus was doing or whatever. Jesus said, but yet he was the rocking to which Jesus Built the church. And so Jesus answered. I wash your feet. You have no part with me family. I want you to pay close attention. Ben Lloyd, Simon Peter replied, not just my feet. But my hand and my head is well Jesus answered those who have had a bath only to wash their feet. Their whole body is clean. And you are clean though, not everyone of you for, he knew he was going to be betrayed and that, and that is why he said not, everyone is clean. You see some of us? Some of us have been washed with the blood of Jesus because we have accepted him as our Savior and Lord over our life. And then some of us are just pretend, you know, you just had never taken a bath. He never been washed in the blood. It was his for the taking.

That's what Jesus was talking about. Been washed in the blood. Judas was a pretender. When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and turned his place. Do you understand what I have done for you? He asked them. You call me teacher and Lord and rightfully. So for that is what I am. Now that I your lord, and TJ have wash your feet. You hallelujah. Hallelujah. You should watch one another's feet. I have set the example that you should do as I have done for you Valley. Truly, I say to you. No servant is greater than his master. Know what is a messenger? Greater than the one who sent him? Now that now that when you do these things, you will be blessed if you do them. Family. I also mentioned the story of a lifeguard and while he was a servant that saved the life of someone drowning. That's what I thought on the beach. He is subject to a higher authority, and if he isn't doing his job of saving drowning people, he would have to answer to a higher authority. His boss it while we at Piney Point. Maryland plan on going back into the church soon, and still maintaining our online presence each and everyone of you listening to this message today is a lifeguard under the authority of Jesus Christ. He has each one of us to go and to save someone, see we don't have the power, but we can pull them and tell them about Jesus and Jesus has saving power through you. Bring them to him. We will no longer just sit behind family. When we go back into the church. We will no longer sit behind for Waldorf or behind this internet. And hope for a great sermon. We're going to go out into the community and serve the community. We can no longer be comfortable. Like we were before this pandemic. We must be, like, Jesus and wash the feet of the unsaved. The one thing that I have truly learned while we were out, is that that that we are the church, we are truly the church. If no one ever sees the, the physical inside of this church. I don't care but if if they can see the church and me and an each of you. Which leads into God. Then we have fulfilled the mission that our father has sent us on. You see inside of the walls of the physical church is where we become charged me. Giving these messages in these sermons with charging you where you at, energizing for recharging, you to go out into the world and wash the feet of us. What good is it for us? If we come in here to just hear the word if we're not going to go out into the world and be doors. Let me share something with you while. I while I give each and everyone of you love.

Send is anything. Contrary to the word of God? Lord have mercy on us. Anything contrary to the word of God opposite of the word of God family. We as Christians are to to be a good smell. To be the aroma of Jesus Christ. We are to tell everyone that we encountered, both Christians and unbelievers, a life of the goodness of Jesus Christ, you know, Paul wrote this to the Church of Corinth in the same thing applies to us today, but thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in a triumphal procession and and threw us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For, we have the aroma of Christ to God, amongst those who are being saved and among those who are perishing to 1 a fragrance from death. To death and to the other the fragrance of Life To Life. Who is sufficient of these things for? We are not like so many Peddlers of God's word, but as Minister Saturday as commissioned by God in the sight of God, we speak in Christ family. We are almost done. I need to stress that we attend Services. I need to stress that we attend Bible study. I need to stress. That we give to the ministry. I need to stress that we start giving back to the community and to the ministry of God. In order to further his word. We are slaves of righteousness and we must be willing to serve others as a server. You will be blessed. God will see you through. The benefit that you re please to Holiness and the result is eternal life. God wants his church to be cheerful givers and while we equate everything to money is not always about money Family. God wants you to be a cheerful Giver in all things that come from him. He serve man as an example for us to follow him. He did, he did not do it for Gretchen Leith, but cheerfully the same way in which we must serve. This message is not just for St. Luke members. This message is for all that attuned in watching us today, serve others, the way in which crisis served serve. So that many will know him and serve him. You can't serve if you don't know him. So get to know him today. Many of us, they claim the title of Kristen will say one day. Lord, Lord. Let me in and he will say, I never knew you all because we never took the time to get to know him. Today is communion Sunday and God wants us to commune with him with a loving heart. The way in which we have a commune with him. At this table. We have to love him with everything that we have, our mind, body and soul, and then to love our neighbors. As we love our self to serve others. Just as he has served as come out from, among the four walls of the physical building and wash the feet of your neighbors. Tell them of Jesus Christ. Take care of their knees. However, they need When you can and if you will, let us love him, let's love one another family. It's all about serving lettuce. Father God, first and foremost. We ask that you let this message resonate in someone's soul today. What it means to be a service. What it means to be a server. Father. There's someone here that does not know you and we pray and ask that they receive you on this day as their lord and savior over their lies. Let us say to you on this day that we know, we are all sinners. And we come to you asking for forgiveness, asking for you. To give us a heart of repentance. We know, and trust and believe that you were born for it. That you died for it, that you were buried. And, and, and that you that the grave could not hold you down that you ascended into heaven and that you will return to us one day, Lord. We thank you. We accept you as our Lord. And we thank you for accepting us today. Lord. We know that many here are in need of a restoration. Rather be Health finances, education relationship. No matter what it is, Father. You already know what it is that we need. Father, we know that if you restore us that we will be restored. We love you. God. Please hear our prayers, for our self, for our loved ones, for our friends or enemies. Give us a
