Introduction:
Welcome to All Saints Day Service - The world calls this day Halloween and relate it to demons and evil, but that is not what it is about. Hallow, in Old English, means "holy" or "sacred." Therefore, "Hallows' Eve," or "Halloween" simply means "the evening of holy persons" and refers to the evening before All Saints Day, which is this day, November 1
The church is headed to a place of maturity in Jesus like
no other time.
New outcomes are on the horizon, Strength is at your door, and the stage worldwide is being set for the imminent return of the Lord.
In America, the church has finally decided that it was not going to just take a back seat any more and people are starting to get involved.
God is rising up a young generation that loves to get behind causes, we just need to pray they are God causes not just good causes, AMEN.
The pressure cooker of the world is about to explode.
True Christian Liberty, is rising up.
Holy boldness, is on the rise. The temperature is climbing
Isaiah 10:20–27 (ESV)
In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on him who struck them, but will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.
For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, overflowing with righteousness.
For the Lord God of hosts will make a full end, as decreed, in the midst of all the earth.
Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: “O my people, who dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrians when they strike with the rod and lift up their staff against you as the Egyptians did.
For in a very little while my fury will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction.
And the Lord of hosts will wield against them a whip, as when he struck Midian at the rock of Oreb. And his staff will be over the sea, and he will lift it as he did in Egypt.
And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because of the fat.”

Key Words

Just a little about this passage and then a couple of key words I want you to remember
Isaiah is a prophet – Do you know what some call prophets– they were the preachers with a problem.
The time period is between King Uzziah and King Hezekiah. Israel and Judah are divided. And half the kingdom that is Israel (Northern Kingdom) is being forced out.
The superpower at the time is Assyria who deported Israel in 722 BC. The time of great captivity. It was the time of Ahaz.
There evil is described as Those who write unjust laws, and make unjust decisions 10:1-2. Those who delude your thinking and are godless. This is an arrogant kingdom that says itself has all the power it doesn’t see God as its strength. They are arrogant and Haughty 10:12
There power was such that people took them as savior, and would seek the counsel of mediums and spiritists rather than the all mighty God.
We are living in a Modern day Assyria.
God intention was to provide a way of escape, in the midst of captivity.
Remnant – Who are they? They are those who do not rely on the world Powers, or leaders or worldly systems, to dictate how they should live. The picture is of a oxen being yoked up and plowing a field.
It is being enslaved to the world and being put on a course not of your choosing but the choosing of a Master.
Broken – this can be translated destroyed in many pieces
Fatness – this is oil, but really it means strength that is built up because on has turned his face towards God and God gives you strength and anointing.
Israel's and soon to be Judah's bondage was because of a misalignment.
There focus was not on the creator of the Universe , but on false gods, and on the world.
They broke relationship with God. And came under a heavy yoke.
Many today feel a heavy yoke placed upon their shoulders. Some do not understand how to be free.
The question I have is have you been placed in a yoke of some kind and do you want to be free?

Listening to someone other than God

Eve did- something appealed to your lusts and you were deceived.
People can put you into bondage, by guilt or shame or continued drama . we have a tendency not to listen(pride)
It starts when you are one ( do you remember seeing a child they have the spoon in their hand they reach over the look at you as they are preparing to drop it on the floor – you say don’t drop that spoon and they look at you right in the eye and then drop it.

Following a different light (our God is a consuming fire).

The light illuminates the wrong path. – New age, secular humanism, bad music, teachers, - deut 4:9 says take care and keep your soul diligently lest you forget you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your childrens children.

Depending on Something other than God.

This all boils down to FAITH. Even the church – we depended on fundraisers and got used to them, Our dependency slowly shifts and we focus on them rather than God.
The yoke turns into a yoke of dependence. Sometimes it then leads to downright addiction. – Without it you feel lost or weak.

Spiritual Strength.

The yoke was broken because of fatness( a return to strength)
Repentance- (turning away from and moving in the opposite direction)
The key to everything- it is a turning around. It is saying – enough is enough. It is going back to the loving hands of god and saying I am yours. Repentance breaks the yoke – if my people will humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways I will heal there land ( healing means wholeness)
Hearing – the voice of god and diminishing all other voices.
The word is a lamp unto your feet. What life manual are you reading? For most it is the tv. To hear you must have a trained ear.
Trust in almighty god
Trust is tough if you have been once burned or disappointed or not gotten your way.

Going Forward

It is not about going backward
– it is going forward
God has taught this church and still continues to teach us about giving.
This year he is going to teach us about real living
1. Learning the spiritual disciplines
You must commit yourself to being built up –
Just like weight lifters when you stop building yourself up you start loosing muscle tone
2. Living like jesus -
The examples he has left for us, we must do amen
Living a supernatural lifestyle
3. Loving in a supernatural way
especially the brethren
We are committed to building up of the saints. Ephesians
