Seasons - Part 2

Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV
1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
pray
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name
Intro:
Solomon tells us that in
Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV
1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
The Psalm writer tells us in:
Psalm 90:10 NLT
10 Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty. But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear, and we fly away.
Psalm 90:12 NKJV
12 So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Second Half
Our time on earth is brief
The Question I have for you is

What are You Doing With Your Time

There is an appointed time for every person’s birth and a time for every person’s death. God is the giver of life and the taker of life. Only He has the power over these two things that happens to every living creature here on earth.
We live according to the life that God gave to us. God has made everything, and there is a beauty in this arrangement where all is fixed by Him.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT
11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
Acts 15:18 NKJV
18 “Known to God from eternity are all His works.
Each day we wake up, each day that dawns, though its dawning include may include an challenge, The day may come with a problem,
The day may include a battle, The day may come with joy, the day may come with your specific blessing, the day may come with many surprises to us, but it’s no surprise to God who sees the end from the beginning!
Psalm 118:24 NKJV
24 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

This Day!

Psalm 118:28 NKJV
28 You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You.
Bro. Israel Houghton declares in his song
it's a new season, it's a new day.
A fresh anointing is flowing my way.
It's a season of power and prosperity.
It's a new season coming to me.
Psalm 118:1 NKJV
1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
We will always have enemies to deal with. Everyday you will have numerous challenges both within and without to contend with!
But I am going to use my appointed time, on this day, in this season, to Give thanks to the Lord - because he is good!
You see, I am the dash, you are the dash between what God has already ordained as the time of birth and the time of death!
I am writing the story -
That’s the song writer Fanny Crosby who wrote Blessed Assurance said
This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.

Seasons

In order to step into a new season of life we often have to be stripped of the last season!
God will often take things away before He puts new things on us.
Ecclesiastes 7:13 The Living Bible
13 See the way God does things and fall into line. Don’t fight the facts of nature. Who can straighten what he has made crooked?
This is for those of us who have spent previous seasons fighting God’s decisions and direction in our life.
Ecclesiastes 6:10 NLT
10 Everything has already been decided. It was known long ago what each person would be. So there’s no use arguing with God about your destiny.
Arguing with God is a sheer waste of our time and efforts. The more we dispute with God, the less we will understand.
This season, i’m not fighting God - I am accepting and acknowledging that God knows what is best.
We cannot fix people! We are called to love them!
We are called to shine the light of Jesus in their darkness!
Romans 8:28 NCV
28 We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. They are the people he called, because that was his plan.

This Season

In this season, I am not comparing where God has me - to where he has someone else !
Ecclesiastes 7:14 NLT
14 Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life.
Be content with such things as you have, comparison kills contentment!
Ecclesiastes 7:10–12 NLT
10 Don’t long for “the good old days.” This is not wise. 11 Wisdom is even better when you have money. Both are a benefit as you go through life. 12 Wisdom and money can get you almost anything, but only wisdom can save your life.
You know what , a counter-productive attitude looks like ?
It is constantly trying to live in the past Always trying to relive or recapture old times!
The past is a pleasant place to visit, but dwelling there instead of living in the present results in a life that is wasteful and unwise.
Think about this Time has a way of improving the past. That is, as the years roll by, our minds tend to forget the trials of yesterday and to remember only its joys. The “good old days” were not always as good as we actually recall them. In fact, things are never quite as good as they seem, and things are never quite as bad as they seem.
Dwelling on the past only warps our perspective of the present. If there is one thing that never changes in the world, it is that the world is always changing. Expecting things to stay the same is both unrealistic and unreasonable.
If we are to be effective servants for the kingdom of God, we should expect, accept, and embrace change.
We need to learn how to face the challenges of life today, rather than wasting precious, God-given time wishing for things to be as they were some time ago.

It’s time for us to look up and to quit looking back

Matthew 6:25–33 NLT
25 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? 28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? 31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

This Season

Philippians 3:13–14 NKJV
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

The future is clear to God, and fuzzy to us. So it's best to trust the One Who knows.

You are the dash between the your ordained time of birth and your ordained time of death! Stay out the past, don’t worry about the future, make this season about the present!
Write your story! It is your season!!!
