Pastor: able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, more powerful than a locomotive, faster than a speeding bullet, walks on water, gives counsel to God. Assistant pastor, able to leap short buildings in a single bound, as powerful as a switch engine, just as fast a speeding bullet, walks on water when the sea is calm, talks with God. Minister of music: leaps short buildings with a running start, almost as powerful as a switch engine, faster than a speeding BB, is occasionally addressed by God, walks on water if he knows where the tree stumps are. Youth pastor: runs into small buildings, recognizes locomotives two out of three times, uses a squirt gun, knows how to use a water fountain, mumbles to himself. Church secretary: lifts buildings to walk under them, kicks locomotives off the track, catches speeding bullets in her teeth and freezes water with a single glance, when God speaks she says “May I ask who’s calling?”.
Church can become a place where participation is minimal, perceptions unreasonable and worship is invisible.
It’s the place where God’s people gather so we’re accountable. It’s the place where God’s principles are given so we can grow. It’s the place where God’s purpose for our life is uncovered. And it’s the place where God’s presence is found in a very unique way.

1. The Church should Radiate the Glory of God!

John 17:1 NKJV
Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You,
John 17:4 NKJV
I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.
John 17:9 NKJV
“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.
John 17:22 NKJV
And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
John 17:24 NKJV
“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

The Glory is the Visible Expression of God!

The Glory is the Outward Wow! that causes the Inward Whoa!
Isaiah 6:1–2 NKJV
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
Isaiah 6:3 NKJV
And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”

Two ways, the Church Manifests God’s Glory:

Declaration- Verbal Expression of Our Faith in God

Demonstration- The Way We Live

John 17:4 NKJV
I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

Your Demonstration is Framed by Your Declaration!

Job 22:28 AMP
You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] shall shine upon your ways.
Mark 16:20 NKJV
And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Worship is Three-fold: 1. Revelation 2. Response 3. Reciprocation

2. The Church Should Reveal the Truth of God!

John 17:6 NKJV
“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
John 17:17 NKJV
Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
Acts 2:42 NKJV
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Truth produces Joy!!
John 17:13 NKJV
But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.
Tyndale Survey Poll on Bible Reading: “Ninety percent of Bible readers feel at peace all or most of the time. As compared to fifty-eight percent who read less than once a month.”
Ninety-two percent of frequent Bible readers report knowing a clear purpose and meaning for their life whereas only sixty-nine percent of infrequent Bible readers report the same.”
Truth not only produces joy, but Holiness! My struggle with alcohol and drugs.

Truth Perfects What You Believe!

What You Believe Manifests in What You Say!

What You Say Determines What You Do!

Your Demonstration is Framed by Your Declaration!!!
