Genesis 3:1-13

Introduction

Satan in all his wiles still seek to

Be Careful Little Ear What You Hear

Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. But just as hearing a word can build your faith, listening to the wrong thing can lead your to doubt. You must be the filter to keep out the negatives that speak to your doubts and unbeliefs rather than your faith. Because at the moment that you give your willed consent, you are at that point susceptible to the influences and to the hypnotic persuasions of the enemy.

  • Even if it were the case that the serpents in the Garden could talk, this serpent must have, through a series of encounters, worn Eve down to the point of little if any resistance.
    1. And the enemy wants to subtly persuade you through a series of encounters.
    2. He's too wise to try to pull you out with one attempt, so he desires to wear you down.
    3. When you find yourself pausing where you used to keep on moving, something is wrong.
    4. This is a sign that you are beginning to get used to SNAKE TALK.
  • The problem is that the enemy won't stop talking until his views are your beliefs, and until your beliefs become the convictions by which you pass that samw damnable ideology on to someone else.
    1. And this is what Eve was guilty of.
    2. This is how sin works, it doesn't stop with you.
    3. Once the devil deceives people, they are not satisfied until their conscious is appeased by deceiving others so that they are not the only ones in that situation.
    4. Which is why you must be careful when people are working over-time to convince you of their ideas, because at the end of the day God is hrowing everybody out.

It's All About Obedience

When it comes down to the stability of our lives and the continuation of God's favor, it is a matter of obedience to the command of God. But what the enemy will do is cause you to believe that God is hiding something from you by asking you not to touch some things.

  • God is not keeping you from pleasure, He's keeping you from consequences.
    1. The things that God says for us to touch not, are the things that will lead to the consequences that we are not ready for.
    2. They wanted to experience something that they were not ready for, and know things that were not necessary for the continuation of their lives in the Garden.
    3. It is still true that there are things that you know that you cannot un-know.
    4. Even the wise man says that " He that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow".
    5. Some experiences will make you worse and not better.

Who Told You That?

The reality of Adam and Eve is that they both were created in the perfection of the Garden of Eden. There they lived in the bliss of INNOCENCE. It was the enemy who showed them a reality that was not God's design. And now they have a knowledge that God didn't give them.

  • And this is what snake talk will do, cause you to trust in knowledge that God did not give to you.
    1. Many people have been misled by snake talk.
    2. Made to believe that even though they have been in fellowship with God all these years, that there was something else that they were missing out on.
    3. And some people have lived saved for years and listened to SNAKE TALK, and a snake convinced them that they were missing something.
    4. Something that they were willing to go after even if it meant disobeying and forsaking the life that they had lived all of this time.
    5. And when the snake was obeyed, they found out that they were naked.
    6. God then comes to ADAM, not to Eve because it was to Adam that God gave the command.
    7. God is not going to require an answer for your life from somebody else.
    8. And what God asks when He encounters a hiding Adam and Eve is "Where Are You"
    9. To which Adam answered, " I was hiding"
    10. When he says to God, " It was because I was naked", God asks who told him that.
    11. Who told you that when God didn't tell you that.
    12. And sometimes you are listening to snake talk and are now convinced that there is another truth that you didn't have.
    13. Who told you that it was okay?
    14. Who told you that holiness had changed?
    15. Somebody is listening to SNAKE TALK
  • What were the consequences?
