Can Christians have tattoos?
Let’s Talk About It
Let’s Talk About It

Intro:
Given the fact that I am a Christian with tattoos, I feel that this is a pretty relevant question for me.
Also considering that this is probably the 100th video you’ve tried searching up to justify that tribal cross you want to ink on your bicep (don’t do it), let’s get into it.

(Scripture Support; recite verse)
There is no getting around the fact that the Scriptures do actually address the issue of tattoos.

When we consider the context, we have to take into consideration a couple of things.
This is a law book written specifically towards the Levitical priesthood.
The inking described here is linked towards religious ceremony and ritual
The connotations for tattooing in this context were severe.

So what exactly does that mean for Xander who wants to tattoo Jesus’ face on his entire back bearing a crown of biomechanical demons? (close up on shameful face *almost/olak*)
Well when we consider the relationship between the Law and the Christian, there are some important factors to note.

At this point, if tattooing is therefore in the realm of permissibility, meaning that getting a tattoo for aesthetic or religious reasons so long as it doesn’t conflict with your conscience, should you get a tattoo?
Hands- What is the response?
Hands- What is the response?
So how do we move forward from here?
I encourage you to consider the cost of what may be expected out of you and seriously pray to God for the discernment and wisdom to know if you are called to this sort of life.
I encourage you to consider how you walk with God through this, how you keep Christ first through this, and keep sin out of your life through this.
And if you’re the kind of person who joined the military so that you could kill someone, I encourage you to seriously repent from such a murderous mentality and reconsider your life decisions before you follow through on something terrible that you will never be able to take back.

What are your thoughts? Should Christians get ink even if they aren’t conflicted in their conscience? Am I just being bias? Let me know what your perspectives are in the comment section below.
