The Church Jesus Would Attend part 2

1. The Church Should All Be About Making Jesus Famous.

2. The Church is to reveal God’s Truth, and proclaim His Gospel to the World.

3. The Church Rescues those Who Are Far From God.

John 17:14 NKJV

I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

John 17:20 NKJV

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;

We are Not a Bless Me Club!

We are Not a Place to be Spiritually Entertained!

We are Not a Self Improvement Conference!

John Stott, great writer and preacher. Died in 2011- Stated Two downfalls of the Church- 1) Became a Religious Club where members only benefit. Introverted Christianity 2) Became a Secular Club- Social Service for the Community. Stott says the Church has lost it’s identity, if had kept it, it would have evangelized the World by now!

How Do We Do It?

We Know! Who We Are.

We Grow! In the Way!

We Go! Into All the World!

Moody talked about the Church, being like a fireman rushing into a burning house and straightening the pictures on the wall. The Church needs to save lives!

John 3:21 AMP

But he who practices truth [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are—wrought with God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him].

John 17:14 NKJV

4. Rallies Under the Love of God!

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

Augustine said: In essentials Unity, in non-essentials Liberty, in all things Charity (love).

Colossians 3:13–14 TPT

Tolerate the weaknesses of those in the family of faith, forgiving one another in the same way you have been graciously forgiven by Jesus Christ. If you find fault with someone, release this same gift of forgiveness to them. For love is supreme and must flow through each of these virtues. Love becomes the mark of true maturity.

1 John 4:12 NKJV

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
