B. A Man God Called a Fool

1. He was ambitious, thrifty, successful
2. But his heart was not right with God

D. A Fool’s Prosperity Is Fleeting (vv. 16–18)

1. This man’s prosperity was all earthly
a. His farm produced plentifully
b. Pride in his great harvest
c. Time to build new barns
2. Everyone saw this fool as a success
3. But something important was missing (v. 15)
4. Everything he possessed was passing: temporary
5. He was not rich toward God (v. 21)

E. A Fool’s Security Is False (vv. 18–19)
