BUILD ON WHAT IS TRUE NOT JUST WHAT SOUNDS GOOD
There are things that we try to reason and at times they sound reasonable.
But sounding reasonable and being reasonable are two different things.
The heresy that they were trying to spread at Colossae was probably intriguing.
Remember that the best lies tend to have a little truth in them.
But we must build our lives on what is true not just what sounds good.
John 14:6 (CSB)
6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
Truth is not just a bunch of facts and ideas.
It is what is real, reality.
Jesus is the embodiment of all that is true.

All of this is to say that our lives must be built on the solid foundation of Christ and nothing else.
WE MUST BE ROOTED IN TRUTH (CHRIST)
We recieved Him by faith and therefore we must walk in Him by faith.

This moves us from theory to practice.
We don't just say that Christ is truth, our lifestyle exemplify what we believe.
As follower of the Truth, Christ must be the source of our lives.
Nothing else will suffice.
