The Acorn Inside of You
As we share were together. I don't know if any of you have had the opportunity to go to the Village Market. Has anyone gone to the Village Market yet? Okay, if you, if you have, it's just beside the feel bad. And one of the things that we love doing is purchasing projects from there, and they have really good projects from from some local farmers that are here as well. Some really good projects there and one of the things I love buying during the winter times, is an apple. And so this is a great Apple. I think it's a Galah Apple possibly or a honey crisp and it's actually this one is from New Zealand all the way from New Zealand. That's why I must be so good, close to Estrella there and so on. And so, one of the things we love doing is purchasing fruit from that. And I want to ask you a question. What is the purpose of an apple? Think about that. What is the purpose of an apple? And I don't know how you like to eat your apples. Some of you may like to just eat it as is or some of you actually met like to peel your Apple, right? How many do you like to peel? Okay, how many of you just like to eat it? So, I got no time to waste. I just got to go for it. Thanks so much. See, Ryan doesn't want me to stab myself and he is taking care of me giving up a Ryan. Thank you.
And so some of you may like to kill, I just heard for all the peel is out there. I like to feel my apple as well. Apparently all the nutrition pretty much as in the skin as well and maybe that's why some people don't heal but like human, some of us have layers to us, right? Some of us have layers in and whip healing delay is off. Some of us feel like I'm not good enough. I got to peel this layer. Some of us feel like I don't have what it takes. Some of us may feel like I'm not as popular as my friend. Some of us may feel like hay on social media. I don't have as many followers as the people that I follow and so they spilling that takes place. And I believe that God wants to heal us so that he can get to the coal. And when God gets to the Cole and we, when we get to the core of an apple, we find a seed, right? Could it be that the purpose of an apple isn't only to be eaten, but it's to be planted. That your life is God, trying to peel away the layers of our lives so he can get to the Sea because he wants to plant you somewhere. He wants to plant you somewhere so that you can grow and that you can flourish and you can be a blessing to many many people. I'm going to just put the knife down now. Just over here, but I believe that God wants to plant you somewhere and we have friends that have had a tree for over 50 years, out in California. Parently this grapefruit, California. Amen, there's end, and they kind of tree for over 50 years. That's been a blessing to many. Many people. Just know this. Your life is not intended to just be a blessing for yourself. God wants to plant you. So you can bless many people. The question is, are you praying about way God wants to plant you? Are you praying about where God wants you to be nourished and watered and harvested for his kingdom? And that's what I want to talk about in the next few moments. As we turn out bibles, if you have your Bible with you, some of your Bibles glow and that's fine too. That's great. Mind blowing right now. We're going.
All the way. And this is what Paul right here. Let's see.
We going to the book of Philippians.
Chapter 4. This is 68 and says be anxious of what nothing. But in everything through prayer and supplication, make your requests be known to God and the peace of God, that passes, what all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ. Jesus, our lord. God says don't be anxious about anything but in everything. Pray, pray about where you want to be planted because God has a calling on your life and in a, in a blood that I just read. This is an interesting survey. A national survey said 18 to 24 year olds report that having a clear purpose in life is a big part of being a real adult. But only 43% say they have a clear picture of life. So, under half of young adults, have a clear picture of where they want to be the survey continues and says, this only 30%, know why, they're here. If you don't know why you're here. If you don't know what calling God has for you, your part of the majority because not many young. I don't know why they are here. What their purpose is and some of us may feel out purposes to get a paycheck, but could it be that dog wants to change your purpose from a paycheck? To a purpose that is greater and more fulfilled and greater in terms of building his kingdom. And so, in the Book of Genesis, we find that God created us out of dust, right? They say, I don't know if anyone studying be all biology. If you break down just the material matter of a human, we worth $160. That's how much of a body part is worth. OK. When you break down the materials, 160 isn't based on how you look like or how you dress or where you live fuel calling is based on who I am. Your value is not based on what you're made of your value. Is based on who you're made by. And be the fact that you made by God. The fact that God has a calling on your life means that he wants to plant you some way. I love what these Olympic swimmer said. Her name is Madeline Dorado from California. 23 years old. She was a bit of a late bloomer, but she qualified for the Olympic, set it for 2016. She didn't get into the 2012 Olympics, and she made the Olympics and they wanted to interview her and they sit or how do you feel now that you've made the Olympics? This is what she said. She said I didn't think God really cares about my swimming very much. This is not my end purpose to make the Olympics. Then they said, what do you think you're in purpose? Is she says, I think God cares about my soul and whether I'm bringing love and mercy to the world. What an amazing call. She's a swimmer in the Olympics, but she says winning a medal and she wanted metal by the way. Winning. A medal is not. My goal in life is to bring love and mercy to this world. You see, she didn't just have a goal. She had a purpose and could it be that we confuse Al goals without purpose? Before I was a pasta, I was a CPA in Sydney Australia and I work not too far from the Opera opera house and Harbour Bridge. Those with some landmarks that may be recognizable. I had a career, but I didn't have a calling. And you can have a calling while being an accountant, but that wasn't my calling that God had for me. I had a career but I didn't have a calling. I had a nice car. It was a Honda Integra type-r. I think he called immature. Is he? Okay? Had like a nice little chrome gear shift that had these Recaro sport see, but I had a nice car, but I didn't have a destination. Some of us have goal is to have a beautiful large house. But God has his purpose for your life. Is not to give you a large house more than a home. God doesn't just want you to have a house. You want you to have a home? Some people. I looking for the goal of having a wedding day. But God doesn't just want you to have a wedding day. He wants you to have a marriage. Amen. There's a difference between a goal and a purpose in life. And God wants to establish a purpose in your life. Going beyond the career to a calling soap. All he saying, be anxious of nothing, God's going to work, out the polling in your life. And in many of the chapters, he talks about the calling that God has on his life. And some of you may say, you know what, right now, God can speak to Paul but he hasn't spoken to me, you know, Paul had an experience on the Damascus Road. Moses had an experience with a burning bush, but I want you to know that before Paul became the Apostle, he was full and he had a to-do list that morning when he was Soul, he was on the roads on the mascis wanting to kill Christians. Okay, that's quite a to-do list. And that was his goal, that was his goal in life by God, stop his goal and he gave him a purpose. And my promise to you is this if God will speak to Paul, he will speak to hear if you'll speak to someone that's on the Damascus Road, ready to kill Christian. I believe that he will speak to you a Mehndi, believe that that God will speak to you and let you know, the seed that is planted in your life. If God would speak to Soul he will speak to you. So God doesn't just want you to have a career. He wants you to also have a calling and I believe that while you'll see if you choose to be here at 7. That's one of our prayers for you. That God will help you discover your calling in life. Yes, choosing. Your major is important, but the major thing is finding out what God wants you to do and allowing him to plant you where he wants you to be. So, take this time with a few hours you have left today to pray about what God is wanting to do in your life. The purpose, in the plans that he has for your life and it will speak to Soul. He will speak to you. I invite you at this time. To pray with me. Let's pray together. Father God. We thank you. That sometimes we only see the exterior of a life. We only judge others by what we see on the outside, but you said that, you didn't judge us. From the outward appearance. You judge us on what's in the heart. You judge us based on the see that you've planted within us. And so God right now, we pray that every young person. He will know that God has planted within them as see, there is a see that you have in them that is just an acorn right now, but you want to turn the acorn to an oak tree and that you want to bless many through them. Lord. We thank you and your words. You don't bless and adamant things you bless people. And as you blessed Abraham, you said he will be a blessing to many nations and I believe that there are young people here, that will be blessed and anointed by you. To bless many people around the world. Lord, may you be with them as they make this important decision about where you would want them to be. And we thank you that you're a God, that speaks to us. You promise that we don't need to be anxious of anything, but in everything through prayer and supplication, as we bring our request to you, you will reveal your will for our lives. We thank you for that promise. And we prayed in Jesus name. Amen.
