15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Everything was created by, through, and FOR Jesus!
The reason the church is important: it does the work of Jesus on the earth. So essentially, the same battle satan had with Jesus while Jesus was here on earth, is still going on! He wants the church stopped at all costs! He hates the church!!
Look what he had to do to Jesus to stop the church!
The church has Jesus authority. The chirch shows everyone the kingdom of God! The church keeps people’s faith alive! The church spreads! The church brings revival to the neighborhoods! The chirch spreads Jesus’s hope, teachings, and grace! The church SHOWS everyone Jesus! There’s still a model of the invisible God! It’s the church!!!
All things were created by, though, for, and in Jesus. Jesus is the head of the church. That makes the church the most important organization in the universe.
Every attack is not to destroy, it’s to simply make you ineffective in church.
2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
Mega-churches are an attack on that.
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,
15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Serving (not just attending), sharing, and inviting to your local church is the most important activity to you can be involved in.
