It's Going To Cost You

Matthew 8:18–22 NKJV

And when Jesus saw great multitudes about Him, He gave a command to depart to the other side. Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” Then another of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

Have you ever had a dream?

What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? I heard it once say that “Discipleship means forsaking present securities and adventuring into the unknown” Wherever you go indicates a readiness to be with Jesus through thick and thin. “Actively and passionately pursuing the Lord’s will in all things.

You Have To Surrender

Acts 9:4-9

(6) “what do you want me to do” that should be our hearts desire. We should Position ourselves to be able to say God whatever you want, where ever it is, no matter now it looks like! The answer is “YES”

Jesus demands wholehearted loyalty, complete obedience. Impossible without the “Grace of God”

Jesus made it clear that being called as one of His disciples had a price. Luke 9:23

Build Healthy Habits

Luke 5:16

Jesus modeled : Prayer, reliance on God the Father, and a determination to do His will.

Spending time with God is essential, you have to make a choice and dedicated time for the Lord.

Write in your journal, closet getaway, restroom getaway, write your favorite scriptures and memorize them, pray a psalm, listen to worship music, take a pause practice.

Have Accountability & Community

As a church we have been talking about community and I want to echo that same message here today.

What is community? A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. As C3 Palm Springs we our a group of believers, The Body of Christ.

Let’s be a youth group that if or when someone’s falls, as a team we will lift each other up!

The gift that God put inside of you is free, but in order to see it come to life it will cost you!! The vision takes sacrifice, the spiritual disciplines requires consistency and the Yes cant be hesitant, our faith cant have boundaries because we serve a limitless God.

How many of us know… that when God communicates through his word that the general becomes concrete, the indirect becomes direct, the inaudible becomes audible…

2. What will be your first step you would take today draw closer to God and have a meaningful relationship with him?
