King James Version (Chapter 11)
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, qthat he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
When a traveler in the early days of the west, came to the Mississippi, he discovered there was no bridge.
Fortunately it was winter and the great river was sheeted over with ice.
But the traveler was afraid to trust himself to it, not knowing how thick it was.
Finally with infinite caution, he crept on his hands and knees and managed to get halfway over.
And then he heard--yes he heard singing from behind.
Cautiously he turned, and there, out of the dusk, came another traveler, driving a four-horse load of coal over the ice, singing as he went!
Though not reported....
I think we can say all say the rest of the journey went so much faster...
This paints a picture i believe of us.........sometimes crawling other times walking, occasionally running all based on our level of faith on the ground we stand upon....
Do we know the power of our faith.
I want you to know that Faith.....has the power to literally be you access key! Faith has the power of bring you into a deeper level of access.....
Your faith gave you the ability to come to God we know this from
Your faith gave you the ability to see the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ!
2 Corinthians (Chapter 4)
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ
I want everyone here to understand your faith gave you the inital ability to receive or not receive salvation.
They believed not because they did not believe.....
How did I even have the choice or power to believe…
Romans (Chapter 10)
8 But what saith it?
The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preache?
15
Church this why we preach the message
to preach or proclaim.
Refers to publicly preaching or proclaiming a message
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.]
We teach, preach, proclaim Jesus so that the power and message of a risen Savior because it is by this that men and women have the opportunity to believe this Gospel....
Teach it to your children, to your family, to your friends, to your neighbour hood.... to your community; to this world.
Because FAITH COMETH BY HEARING>>>> and HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD!! DO you want an infusion of Faith..........
Read the word!
Pray the word!
TEACH THE WORD!
SING THE WORD!
SAY THE WORD!
I want you to grasp the power of your faith because I want you to understand why the enemy fights it so hard with unbelief.
Matthew 28:17
17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
YOU WILL HAVE A TIME EVEN AFTER WORSHIP....... where you may doubt......
The disciples were in the presence of resurrection power and struggled with doubt....
When doubt shows up....... close the curtain.
Don’t allow it the performance.
IS this real, is God doing what I think, is this Holy ghost thing biblical, does God heal.
Does God deliver?
Do I actually need to make this change…it areas of doubt that can happen after encounters with God!
Hear me, if its your flesh fight doubt, if its the enemy fight doubt, if its the negatives of others keep fighting doubt.......
Ephesians 6:16
16withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
1 Thessalonians 5:8
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16 jTo the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life.
And who is sufficient for these things?
17 For we are not as many, which lcorrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
Ephesians Brings us the picture of a Roman shield long bulky, also strongest when linked together with others.
I want you to allow your faith to be link conneccted with you brother and sisters in Christ!
Matthew 14
22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come.
And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God

I preached Last weekend the power of Faith and I will be preaching part 2 today.
I want you to understand that in this church God is doing something to prepare us for His power to act and operate in and around us.... without is having to be convined that he is acutally to do the miraculous...... Let me remind you at one of teh indictments to Samaria.... he could not do many works there because of their unbelief....
No it must have been the pastors unbelief!
NO IT WAS THE UNBELIEF FOUND AMONG THE POPULOUS.... SAINTS OF GOD its not enough for me to have faith concerning the power of God its time for us to have Faith!!
Some of you are questioning your faith right now because of situations in your life and the problem with these situations has nothing to do with you misplacing faith and everything to do with you disobeying what God has told you to do......
He is merciful and gracious and will help you get back on track...... but quit allowing these things to shade your faith God is still the all powerful GOd.... you have simply changed////
Peter Stood on the boat that night..... in the same chapter
John the baptist died, the 5,000 are fed.... now he is in the middle of a storm that could take his life....
From miracle to miserable so quick....
I think sometimes the shock of the storm causes our trust to stagger..
Shock
: a sudden or violent mental or emotional disturbance
(2): a disturbance in the equilibrium or permanence of something
