Spiritual Warfare
12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
This is something that we should not take lightly.
Paul mentions in other letters about Satan. 1 Peter 5:8 “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert.
Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
We are in a battle but we are not alone
Ephesians 1:20-21 “which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.”
The WHOLE Armor of God
There is special consideration here for the armor of God.
Now Paul probably got the idea as he was chained to a Roman Guard about the armor.
But as we look at the armor there is something we must be aware of.
We need it all.
Every single piece.
As we look we will see that if we are missing one piece then we will be vulnerable to one of Satan’s attacks.
