I. "Christian" means Christ-follower.

  • Acts 11:26 - A Christian is one who tells about Christ no matter what. (Acts 11:19-25; Isaiah 62:2)
  • Acts 26:28 - A Christian is one who shows others what it means to follow Christ.
    • Agrippa saw Paul's association with Christ.
    • Agrippa saw the cost of following Christ.
  • I Peter 4:16 - A Christian is one who glorifies God by wearing Christ's name well. (4:12-19)
    • Our actions will reflect Christ.
    • Our courage and loyalty will reflect Christ. (Acts 5:41-42; Matt. 5:10-12)

II. "Christian" means Christ above all. (Gal. 2:20)

4 types of people

  • Those who say, "Not Christ, but I"
  • Those who say, "I and Christ"
  • Those who say, "Christ and I"
  • Those who say, "Not I but Christ" (Luke 9:23-25)
