What is salvation?

Regeneration- Where the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin and supernaturally works and changes our heart AKA we are born again

Justification- Where God clears our debt, it is all charged to Jesus’s account

Sanctification- Where God continues to work throughout our life, making us more obedient, and more like Jesus

Glorification- When we’re all with God, and he gets rid of all of that sin and rebellion thats still left in us, and we are completely perfect

Signs of a true believer:

Belief that Jesus is the Son of God and that only through Him are our sins atoned for and we’re forgiven. Acts 4:12

Confess that Christ is Lord and believe that God has raised Him from the dead. Rom. 10:19

Scripture is the standard for truth, if it doesn’t match up with scripture it is not true. 2 Timothy 3:15-17

Pursuit of sanctification, without that no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14)

Seeking to love God with everything they’ve got and love thy neighbors as themselves. Mark 12:30

Struggle against sin, and confess their sin to God knowing they’re forgiven. 1 John 8-10

Looking forward to being with Jesus. Hebrews 11:10

Questions for yourself:

Do I really know anything about God, or am I just fooling myself?

Are we growing and wanting to know more about Him or do I not care about Him?

Am I seeking to follow Jesus more faithfully, or trying to be the God of my life?

Do I know for certain that God has forgiven our sin, and that Jesus has paid my debt?
