Aesop’s Fables probably the most common parables that are non religious

Simple, easy to understand stories that tell a greater story or moral.

Tortoise and the Hare: Never Give up

Boy who cried wolf: Don’t lie

North wind and the sun: Kindness

Lion and the mouse: No act of kindness is ever wasted

Many times the parable has layers...

As did many of Jesus’ stories.
