Lesson 12 God Creates the Universe The omnipotent God created the universe. Memory Verse Psalm 8:3–4 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. God created day and night, dark and light.
