Genesis 16:1–5 (NKJV)
1 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar.
2 So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.
3 Then Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan.
4 So he went in to Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became despised in her eyes.
5 Then Sarai said to Abram, “My wrong be upon you! I gave my maid into your embrace; and when she saw that she had conceived, I became despised in her eyes. The Lord judge between you and me.”
1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.
2 And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”
3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying:
4 “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.
5 No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.
6 I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.
7 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.
8 Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
9 And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.

WAIT ON THE LORD
WAIT ON THE LORD
7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
WILL YOU BE ABLE TO SAY LIKE DAVID
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.
20 Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.
II. Have You Admitted Your Sin?
II. Have You Admitted Your Sin?
Confess Your Wrong
5 Then Sarai said to Abram, “My wrong be upon you! I gave my maid into your embrace; and when she saw that she had conceived, I became despised in her eyes. The Lord judge between you and me.”
5 Then Sarai said to Abram, “You are responsible for the wrong I am suffering. I put my slave in your arms, and now that she knows she is pregnant, she despises me. May the Lord judge between you and me.”
SARAH SUGGESTED BUT ABRAM FULFILLED IT
SARAH HINTED BUT ABRAM PERFORMED IT
SARAH IMPLIED BUT ABRAM CARRIED IT OUT \
HE COULD HAVE STOPPED IT RIGHT THERE BUT
He Assumed Rather Than Asked the LORD
He Leaned to her understanding Rather Than Look to the LORD
He Thought Rather Than Talk to the LORD
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Don’t Brag about your sin be Broken over your sins
Don’t Bask in your sin but
Don’t Cover your sins Confess them
Don’t Overlook your sins Own them
Don’t Dismiss your sins Divulge them
SAY THAT LORD I ADMIT I WAS BEING
Crafty and Cunning
Shifty and Shady
Double dealing and Dishonest
Fraudulent and Fake
Debase and Depraved
Wretched and Wicked
Rotten and Reprehensible, BUT I KNOW ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD THAT
13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
5 For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
LAM3.22-23 “22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.
