I AM NOT ASHAMED

Romans 1:15-17 (NASB) 15  So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome. 16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

ONLY GOD CAN GIVE US A NEW HEART THAT CHANGES OUR DESIRES FROM SIN AND SELF TO CHOOSING TO HONOR HIM WITH DESIRES TO KEEP HIS COMMANDS.

Jeremiah 13:23 (NASB) 23  "Can the Ethiopian change his skin Or the leopard his spots? Then you also can do good Who are accustomed to doing evil.

Romans 5:6 (NASB) 6  For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 8:3 (NASB) 3  For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,

1 Peter 1:23 (NASB) 23  for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.

THE POWER OF GOD FOR SALVATION.

WHEN WE PUT OUR FAITH AND TRUST IN CHRIST WE BECOME A NEW CREATION.

A NEW ATTITUDE A NEW HEART.

NOT ONLY THAT WE RECEIVE SALVATION FROM OUR SIN AND THE CONSEQUENCE OF SIN.

SALVATION THROUGH CHRIST IS GOD'S POWERFUL HAND, AS IT WERE, THAT HE HAS LET DOWN TO LIFT MEN UP.

SALVATION IS WHAT GOD IS OFFERING TO EVERYONE.

THROUGH CHRIST AND CHRIST ALONE MEN CAN BE SAVED FROM SIN FROM SATAN FROM JUDGMENT FROM WRATH AND FROM SPIRITUAL DEATH.

Acts 2:40 (NASB) 40  And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation!" Matthew 18:11 (NASB) 11  ["For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.]

Matthew 1:21 (NASB) 21 "She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." Romans 5:9 (NASB) 9  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

SALAVTION SAVES US FROM OUR OWN IGNORANCE

Hosea 4:6 (NASB) 6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. 2 Thessalonians 1:8 (NASB) 8  dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. Colossians 1:13 (NASB) 13  For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

1 Peter 2:9 (NASB) 9  But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

NOTICE THAT THE GOSPEL IS NOT THE POWER OF GOD FOR SALVATION TO EVEYONE.

IT REQUIRES BELIEF.    PISTEUO  THE IDEA OF TRUSTING IN RELYING ON .  HAVING FAITH IN.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NASB) 8  For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9  not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
